Not plastic!SarahPerfect size for next to my sink. I’m happy it is metal.5
Durable, but bad design.BobThis drainer is very durable, but has no way to drain into the sink, so the water will stagnate in it.2
Excellent PurchaseDawnThis item keeps my counters neat and clean, easy to lift with one hand and wipe underneath. I love that it keeps all clean dishes together, I use a drying towel between the tray and drying dishes.5

No gross mess under dishes!TracyI've always used a plastic dish drainer in the past, and it always grossed me out how much gunk would build up down there if you don't rinse it daily. When I saw this at IKEA, I wondered why it was metal, but I knew there must be a purpose in the design, so I bought it. Glad I did! Even if I forget to dump the water that gathers there, it never gets gunky. Leave it to IKEA to come up with the best design and materials for even something so simple.5
It worksAZARMAVETI used this for my dishes and it works great! Easy to clean and does not rust.5
Happy with this purchaseJoshuaIt is a sturdy steel pan that catches water. Looks nice. It is also fairly heavy so there is no concern of it sliding around. It is not designed to drain. Water would need to evaporate or be poured out.5

What is steel?

Steel has unique characteristics when it is stretched and shaped since it remains strong. It provides strength to everything from skyscrapers and cars to bed frames and outdoor furniture. The steel industry is moving in the direction of more energy-efficient production and stronger steel qualities. It doesn’t lose any of its properties when recycled and today steel is one of the most recycled materials in the world.
