Cute little wireless lampMichaelGreat lamp! But at the original price, I would not get it. I was able to snag one in the As-Is section of Ikea for about the quarter of original price. Very well build and sturdy. One thing that does suck about it is that it does not include a plug and cable. It has to be bought separately.4
The Best Portable LampAngeliqueThis was my third shot at a portable lamp and now it's my last — this one is perfect. I loved it so much I bought four of them as "stocking stuffers" for my kids. Buying another few for a small guest bedroom.5
Universal LampEugeneWorks Great for power outage an area's with out power.5
Small but mightyDebraThese are a classic design with a bit of whimsy. Heavy enough that the cat can’t knock them over. Go in any decor.5
Wouldn't light upSuzanneI didn't have the stripped screw problem. I was easily able to put 2 different sets of freshly charged batteries in the lamp. It just wouldn't light up. Now I'm going to have to pay $15 in bis fare just to return it. 😠1
Pleasant welcome mood light for bathroom with super bright overhead lightingKristinI’m using this on the counter in my condo bathroom. The overhead light is super bright, whereas this offers plenty of light for brushing teeth and getting ready for bed in a more peaceful ambiance. When I have guests, it also makes my interior bathroom (No window!) more welcoming to someone who could fumble for the wall switch. I was very careful not to strip the screw when installing batteries because I’d read reviews here. Having a full set of smaller sizes may have helped me open the base successfully, and applying some inward force to avoid stripping the soft metal. I’m not strong though, just careful. I’m ordering a second for another room, I like this so much.5
Wish I Could Rate This Higher But….GaryThis lamp looks great and works just fine when on USB power. I am very pleased from that aspect and would give a 4.5. The battery compartment though, is a different issue. Never was able to get access. Screw completely stripped and I tried numerous screwdrivers. This is my second IKEA lamp purchase to have this issue - so I really think it’s something IKEA needs to look into. 0 based on that. Average to a generous 3 because I like the look of it so.3
Lovely lamp!SalvadorI absolutely love this lamp and the portability of it. It’s very sturdy and well made. 5
Cute lamp, can't get the battery cover offMinThe lamp is very cute, but good luck trying to use it as a portable lamp. To make it portable you need to have rechargeable batteries in it, but the single screw holding the battery cover is so tight and its groove is so shallow, I had a hard time finding the screwdriver that'll fit and then it still was too tight to turn. After spending some time the groove on the screw was starting to wear off and it still wouldn't budge. I gave up and will just use this as a plugged in lamp. The lightbulb is also not replaceable when its life ends. For the price, I feel like it's a poor quality control... not just for this lamp but for a lot of IKEA products recently.3
So lovelyAdriJust what I was looking for; beautiful, portable, small but sturdy, rechargeable, warm accent lighting.
I like that the lamp acts as a charger for the batteries. The only thing I worry about is replacing the very unique little lightbulb inside. I do wish the back panel was more accessible though - as it is you need a screwdriver. In fact to assemble you will requite both Phillips and flat head screwdrivers. Still, a very easy installation.5
Beautiful ambient lighting!HenryThis is a most useful and beautiful new IKEA find!
I’ve had this for several weeks and have only recharged it once, and not because it needed a full charge. I simply wanted to give it a quick boost.
I absolutely love this lightweight lamp. Easy to carry wherever you need it. Even if you want to have an elevated glamping experience! I recommend.5
Stripped screwAubreyLovely little lamp. I was very excited to use it, but the screw to replace the batteries immediately striped when I tried to open it with a perfectly normal screwdriver. If the one screw was so cheap, I'm worried about the rest of the lamp.1
SimpleRonanI appreciate the sturdiness and simplicity of the lamp. I also did not put on the back hook as I found. It looked awkward, and prefer a more minimalist look. It is brighter and then I would prefer in the light is wider than I prefer. I really wish there was a dimmer or a warm yellow bulb 4
I really like it. TerellHas a warm down to earth design. The light is far brighter than I expected. I left the back hook off that goes behind for a more streamlined look. I wish it had a 2 button press for regular and dimmed light brightness. 5
