impossible switch placementWendyPay attention to where the light switches on before you buy this! I got it home, set it up -- attached to the back corner of my desk -- then realized that I couldn't reach the switch to turn it on from my desk chair. I'd have to reach all the way to the back of my desk, where the lamp is attached, to turn it on. The old tertials had the switch at the top, where you can reach it. Why make a lamp with an arm that positions the light so far from the switch that it's impossible to turn it on?
Perfect Work Lamp for the PriceStevenI needed an inexpensive work lamp that is adjustable. This is exactly what I was looking for in the way of features and color. It was super easy to install and works great. I like that the switch is at the base of the lamp near where it connects to the mounting bracket. You can set the switch to the on position and then control it from a wall switch that's connected to the outlet in your room. The mounting bracket also is what I needed as it clamps on but there is an option to screw it down or into the wall. My installation just needed the clamp. The color is listed as dark gray but it's almost black. It uses a standard E26 light bulb. I have plenty of those bulbs already so I didn't have to buy one for this lamp as it doesn't come with a bulb. I'm very happy with this work lamp.
The screws and nuts fall offSaraI like the lamp. I have the white. Over time the screws and nuts fall out. It needs locking bolts. It's a problem. I'd rather pay $5 more for to have them.
Seemingly Decent Lamp with One Huge Fatal FlawBilI purchased this lamp to replace the one I had on my desk, and for the most part it worked great...except the lamp head would not stay positioned where I wanted it. I tried tightening the connections, I tried adding extra hardware to hold it in place, but no matter what I did the lamp head would always swing down. Either there was some assembly failure in the one I got or it was never designed to stay oriented in any direction except straight down. Today was the final straw, as the loose head joint caused a failure that dropped parts on my desk and damaged a project I was working on. This one is now in the garbage, and I will not be purchasing another Ikea desk lamp again.

Great lampHaroldGreat lamp for the price. Base is sturdy yet slim enough to not stick out to far from the edge of the table or desk. The range of motion is great and focuses the light right where I need it. I use them for a hobby table and they provide the perfect light. Better than some of the lights I purchased specifically for a hobby table.

Perfect Office LampIsabellaThis lamp is so easy to put together and position. The adjustability is amazing for a small desk area when you want to adjust the angle of the light or how much light you want in an area. Super easy to move the entire lamp itself if you wanted as well (ex. Clamp to a different part of a desk or furniture). Really glad I bought this! Just what I needed for my new office space.

Great desk lampMary EWe bought 2 of these for our new "project table." We saved on delivery: Ikea delivered them to Walgreens within a mile of our house, instead of driving 30 miles to Renton or paying more for home delivery. The lamps were very easy to assemble and stay exactly where we installed them on the table. Lovely color, too!
Easy Fix for DroopingAlexisWe had issues with the lamp head and arm drooping. By tightening the screws, the droop issues were resolved. Otherwise, an attractive, functional lamp at a great price.

next to uselessNathanDon’t waste your time. This lamp is nearly useless. It can’t even stay upright or hold its position on its own. The frustrating part is, for the price, it could actually be decent if they had just put some effort into properly weighting the springs that help the lamp stay in place. What a disappointment. Don’t just take my word for it—try it for yourself in person.
