Fantastic for DIY countertops with easy cuts.KatieWe are remodeling our 1950s kitchen, and I just installed this sink yesterday. I really like it so far, but the best feature is that it is neither bottom-mount nor drop-in. If you are buying pre-cut countertop slabs, you only have to cut a straight line, no holes in the middle of an unwieldy slab. I was able to cut, lift, and install the countertop on each side of the sink without a second person helping.
It will mean that the backsplash needs a little cutout for the difference between the countertop and the sink, but that's a fine trade.

Then, IKEA introduced this new sink, just as I was about to bite the bullet and replace our entire counter top and purchase a different size sink. This new one is truly perfect. Fits the former sink's space just fine. The composite resin looks beautiful. The size is excellent as all our cookware and baking sheets fit inside the sink bowl. The bowl is deep and we don't get any splashing outside the sink. And, to top it off, IKEA honored the 25 year warranty we had on the old sink, that was 15 years old. (I had kept my receipt). This sink is a real winner.
