Love it!Adam W.Don’t listen to the person saying the veneer is not realistic. Wood veneer is a thin slice of REAL wood. You can’t control how wood veneers will look. It’s sturdy and way to put together. Love it!5

They deleted my previous reviewLolabell711I’m missing screws so the table is unable to hold the under shelf. I can’t get in touch with anyone from IKEA. So frustrated with how they are handling this situation. Tried to go in person and now IKEA is “temporarily closed” but you can’t call them to get information or leave a voicemail and you can’t email. I’ve been trying all do these methods every single day with no change. SOMEONE GET ME THE SCREWS FOR THIS TABLE SO I CANT USE IT and STOP DELETING MY ONE STAR REVIEW!!! It’s missing pieces and that should be known, or at least fixed so I can’t give it another review!!!!! The part number is 109545 and I need 4 of them.1
Practical and StylishSouthwest LadyBought the Stockholm Coffee Table last month and could not be happier. It is not only very stylish with its mid-century design, but extremely sturdy. Rounded edges, so this would be a good choice for young families with toddlers. It was a snap for my husband to assemble in just a few minutes. The coffee table is very long so that it runs the entire length of our large sectional -- but it's narrow, so that it doesn't take up a lot of floor space. This is very practical, in that everyone has a place to set their coffee, drink, snack, etc. Additionally, the wonderful rattan storage shelf helps minimize clutter by providing a place for magazines, newspapers, etc.5
Strudy, good looking but lack finishingnjamal09Its absolutely beautiful piece of furniture and build is strong. My only complain was on one side of the table top the finish is rough and may cause cut on hands specifically if you've kids at home. I wanted to return b/c of this but then decided to keep it and buff the edges as it is a hassle to return furniture.4
Great table for the money!!AJF555I love this table! It was so easy to assemble and looks super mid century modern! My parents didn't even realize it was Ikea and thought I had spent a lot of money on it :P Definitely a great buy!5
Great design, though some flaws in the laminateGF_bostonThis is overall a great coffee table. It's only flaw is the design of the laminate tries to immitate real wood, but there's a pattern of what i think are supposed to be knots, but look more like cigarette burns.4
A real California classic!Joeb74We really like this surfboard coffee table. The style is truly beach city and fits perfectly in our beach themed living room.5
Beautiful table!EF23Fit perfect with my farmhouse style interior.5
Love but bring back the Stockholm Rattan collectioshopgirlI love this table! Ikea PLEASE bring back the Stockholm rattan collection!!!4
Beautiful, sturdy, stylish and heavyBrookycorkyDon't stub your toes on the legs cuz that solid Walnut hurts haha. We love it! I actually prefer the Walnut veneer top , feels like it will withstand our little girls a bit better . We have a very unique long couch and this coffee table fits it perfectly.5
Nice thick veneer45_nThe Lane vintage walnut coffee table disappeared in the 24 hours since I'd seen it at the shop. Broken hearted, I went to buy a bunkbed for my kid at Ikea. I saw this table as I walked in and it caught my eye. I asked in the appropriate floor department about it. It was not on display there-apparently only in the entrance? I brought it home and assembled it. Nice sturdy legs, a thick piece of walnut for the top (for a veneer) and the stylish shelf, which goes with the jute rug it's on. I like the oval shape and height. You can see the mdf on the sides under the veneer, but I imagine that it's saying this is what I am!. It's not pretending to be all solid. It's sturdy and stylish-but also pragmatic and affordable. A big win for our living room! And I don't have to fret if the kids damage it-well maybe after a month or two-now I'm still feeling pretty protective of it!5
almost kid proofjcon08I bought this for the family room--where my young boys act like young boys. it fits the midcentury vibe, and is strong, and so far, scratchless.5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

Designer thoughts

Details create long-term quality. When I designed the STOCKHOLM series, I used lacquer that protects the surface and makes the material feel natural. The big picture was key, and the robust look is also on the inside and the backside. The slightly higher legs add simplicity to the expression and the table’s soft lines and the straight design of the storage units create contrasts, just like in nature. The result is timeless furniture ‒ just as beautiful alone as together!
