A teenager's dream. A nice bed with lots of storage that swallows up everything. Allowing you to store all of your teen's stuff in a small space and at a comfortable distance.

Article Number103.629.82

Product details

The drawers are easy to open and spacious enough with room for toys, clothes and other gadgets that teenagers usually like to "store" on the floor.

Soft edges, recessed handles and just a few visible fittings make the bedframe safe and give it a clean design.

You can easily adapt the timeless look based on your taste and personal style by completing with different bed textiles, pillows and accessories.

The shelf section can be attached at the headboard or footboard of the bed.

If you need extra storage close at hand, you can hang MÖJLIGHET bed pocket over the headboard or footboard of the bed.

You can also use the bed as a room divider since the back is covered and lacquered in the same color as the rest of the frame.

If you have a thick rug, the drawers at the bottom are still easy to open since the bottom of the frame is slightly higher.

Great material, horrible instructions AribaPlease label parts better..5 hours in and no progress from these shelves2
Big bed for small roomsAnonymous reviewerBought two for my girls small bedroom. Needed to add storage and those big drawers have done the job, it feels very solid after completion and is very heavy to move. So far we all love them 4
Great product MeganI have purchased many IKEA products and this is the best. It is solidly made, the drawers are surprisingly large and are well constructed, overall it’s a great bed for a small bedroom. 5
Space saverToriThis is a HEAVY sturdy bed. I love it the drawers roll so nicely. It was a simple put together which took about 3 hours by myself. Plus 20 minutes to Un-box. It took me a minute to figure out the directions because there are a few option when it comes to the cubbies. The cubbies can either go on the left or right side of the bed and then they can also go left or right side at the foot of the bed. I love this option. I needed the cubbies to be on the left side head of the bed for the way the bedroom is set up. It tells you when to Skip pages for the set up you chose. Overall, everything was made easier by a drill, which I know they suggest you don’t use, but it certainly made it easier putting it on the lowest settings, I have no doubt that this bed will last. It was four boxes, and is very, very heavy. It was well packaged, and my son loves it. With the bed I purchased I do think the bed is a bit high, but even with a lower mattress it wouldn’t make a difference in the height.5
Great bed, lots of storageScottThis was a great space saving solution for our son's room. It is sturdy and heavy. I would not want to move it, but it is very nice and came together nicely.5
Perfect for #vanlifeVictoriaI converted a shuttlebus into my tiny home on wheels and this was my first purchase because I dont have build-a-bed skills ot tools!! Its perfect! My only negative is why didnt it come with slats?!? Not enough warning about that. But i got 2x6s at home depot, they cut them to size and now I feel like i have something sturdier than the slats anyway!4
The slats are noisy whenRebeccaThe slats are noisy when someone rolls over in bed. It was very time consuming to put together.4
This was a usefiul bed.ElisandroThis was a usefiul bed. Great dear and love the storage.5
Great bed!Anonymous reviewerGot this as an upgrade for my daughters old Malm twin (the super low one). I love that it gives her tons more storage! I just wish I could use the space on the other side somehow, like a door on the footboard or something. But otherwise this is an awesome bed! Slats from her old bed fit perfect (thanks ikea!) Overall we love it!5
Best purchase ever for space saving!LeahThis bed has definitely optimized limited space in my kids bedrooms! Only negative is allow plenty of time to assemble!5
Practical and good looking bedAnonymousLooks good, plenty of extra storage! It will be used in a space where having a nightstand was not ideal, so the extra shelves and drawers will come in handy. It took a while to assemble but it was worth it at the end!5

Accessories for SLÄKT

SLÄKT Bed frame with storage, white, Twin

For all kids who like to dangle legs

When we developed SLÄKT bed with storage, we had help from the world's leading experts at being children – children themselves. 10 children aged 8 to 14 got to see and test the first bed version. Sitting on the edge of the bed with dangling legs, they thought of very important and crucial points.

Anna Carme works with product development at Children's IKEA and came up with the idea of a bed with storage after having visited many homes of families with children around the world. "Many families have limited space and the lack of storage creates a lot of frustration. It can also be difficult for children of school age to find their own place where they can have their things close at hand."

Without hard edges and handles

Anna and her team presented a first version of the bed with shelves and drawers – without handles. "We know that children of this age like to throw themselves onto the bed and can get hurt from protruding handles", Anna explains. And of course, the children threw themselves onto the bed when the team invited them to a Kid's Lab, a structured method we’ve developed to hear children's opinions and feedback. When the children settled in and sat on the bed’s edge, their ideas started to flow. "A boy pointed out that he could feel the edge of the bed as he sat with his legs dangling", says Anna. “He also wanted to be able to "slide" off the bed easily."

A bed from a child’s perspective

"The other children agreed and of course they were right in wanting a bed to be comfortable to sit on too", says Anna. The children's opinions led to the edge being lowered. ”It was important for us to develop a bed from a child’s perspective. This is the way we do things at Children´s IKEA. By involving children in our product development, we can learn more about their needs and dreams – and how they get in and out of bed."

Created together with children

Children are the most important people in the world and we’re curious to hear what they have to say since we create products for them! Therefore, we invite children to creative and playful sessions where they get to participate in our product development. Here they can express themselves freely and draw, show or tell us what is important to them. Their opinions matter and make our products better. After all, they’re the experts!
