Missing plastic stoppersTawnyaI have had many Malm beds but I purchased this one and the slats keep falling. I realized it is missing the plastic stoppers that the slats sit between on the center beam and the rails. I see the beam and rails are offered but what if you just need the small hardware that keeps the slats from falling 🤔
Metal “ripped” near endJesseAfter only about 3 years with my Malm bed (being slept on by one person), this metal support beam has somehow developed what I can only describe as a rip or tear near the end, where it connects to the top of the frame. Now, looking at other reviews, I see that this is a chronic problem that Ikea is aware of and has done nothing to address. In addition to reflecting poor quality of the part, this problem is also a safety issue. Ikea should really be recalling and replacing this part.

The metal TOREClarai’ve had this bed for about like five years and me and my sister were sitting in it tonight but then we fell to the ground I’m 140 pounds and she’s 120. And up until this point we had no problems. So we just thought that it was probably out of place or something. But we cannot believe our eyes. WHEN THE WE SAW THE METAL TORE. We had just been sitting in it and I don’t think we’re a very heavy combination at least for a bed. I don’t feel like this should’ve happened. Luckily ikea sells replacements, but this is just big inconvenience we had to take apart the bed frame and put it back together once we are able to go to IKEA again to get a replacement but it’s really far for us .I don’t understand how this could’ve happened. I don’t think it should’ve happened.

Keeps breakingKaterinaWe've had this on a bed for only about 6 years and this is the second time we have to replace it. The bed is queen yet beeing slept in by one normal sized, not overweight person. Not to mention it cannot be shipped because it is not over 35$ so I have to drive 200 miles to get this. Again.

Doesn't last even a yearChrisThis came as part of a bedframe set we purchased. We have had this bedframe for less than a year, and the Skorva is already tearing. Not bending, not having threads stripped, it's literally tearing. How does a piece of metal that has support holding it up even tear??? And it happened outside the 180 day period. Gonna have to get a new one, but I'm not happy about it

Break often LaylaThis is a terrible product that you will have to constantly replace. For reference, I am 5’2 and weigh 118 lbs - so weight is not the issue. My 2nd beam just broke and I have not even had it for a full year! But, because it’s over the 6 month time, IKEA will not accept the return or exchange it. Both of my beams have broken at the end of the bed where the beam connects to the bed bracket. The metal piece on the beam that fits into the bracket starts to bend and eventually it snaps, causing the beam to collapse. I’m really disappointed in IKEA, the reviews show this is a common problem and they are doing nothing to fix it or give customers a replacement. Why?
