Love this lampKateBought this lamp along with the floor lamp version a couple of years ago, and the lamps have held up beautifully. Perfect with my midcentury furniture, the lamps (and bulbs from ikea) give great light and glow. Excellent quality.
Super cute lampLetishaSuper cute but I had a hard time screwing the glass onto the base on one side. Literally can’t change the bulb. Tried to remove it and the glass broke. They don’t sell replacement bulbs. Not sure if it’s worth it as my base it all wobbly. Doubt it will last much longer.
UNSAFE: Tripped the breaker when using 5.5 watt bulbs (max is 7W)RobinBought this today, and when we plugged it in the whole cord became extremely hot and tripped the breaker in 2 different outlets. This happened with both the IKEA bulbs and another brand. It's a long drive to bring it back, but we'll have to.

What is glass?
Glass is mainly made of sand, soda, and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials.
