However, the hole was just the right size for a young child to stick their finger in, and we could NOT get it out. We ended up having to cut it off the child, ruining the chair. There’s always a focus on quality and safety already from the start in the product development. “We know from experience already when we do our sketches what dimensions chair legs require. We can also simulate different strains the chair is exposed to in different computer programs,” says Magnus and tells that even when we think we sit entirely still on a chair, we actually move and change the load. “In the development work, we need to take into account the fact that people sit differently and have different bodies. The relatively thin back on the SANDSBERG chair is developed to give flexibility and comfortable support to all backs – and cope with everyday life in your home.”
