Scuffed and impossible to fit onMarkPicked up two of them in white. Both had dark brown smudges that wouldn’t come off, in visible places. And, both frame covers don’t fit on the Saltsjobaden 3-cushion sofa! Wrestled with it for 20 minutes and it’s not even CLOSE to fitting over the frame. I had assembled the frame per instructions. I’m measuring the width of the constructed sofa (from outside of arms) as around 91”, which is about 10” longer than the measurement posted on the Saltsjobaden measurement image on the IKEA website. Clearly there is a manufacturing problem here. Now I’m totally stuck. I need to hear from IKEA immediately about the fit of the covers. I paid for at-home delivery service as this is an oversized item and my apartment is hard to access. If we can’t get covers that fit and aren’t damaged, I expect full refund for the covers, legs, frame, and delivery costs.
Random colored threads in white fabricJanMy white Saltsjobaden 3-seat sofa cover had bits of colored thread randomly woven into the fabric. I ordered 2 additional covers and they had the exact same problem. What a disappointment to have new covers that already had spots! It took me hours with a needle and tweezers to coax out the threads one by one. The factory must weave other colors in the same area as the white fabric, and the colored lint-type threads get caught up in the weaving process. IKEA NEEDS TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE WITIH THE FACTORY. For whatever reason, I could only upload 1 photo of my 17 that are each different "thread spots" on one set of covers. It looks small but it shows from a distance. It seems useless to order any more sets after receiving 3 with the exact same problem. I don’t want to have a new sofa that already looks spotted. What can Ikea do to help me so I won’t have to spend additional hours pulling colored threads from my other two sets of white covers?
You'll need a team of 4 to get it onHannahI got the orange Fridtuna. Its beautiful but be you'll need to be willing to lose your life putting it on. Its unreasonably tight.
