Nice sofa, bad cover, which had colored spots woven into white fabricJanMy Saltsjobaden 3-seat sofa cover and 2 additional covers, all white, arrived with random colored threads woven into the white fabric. They're small, but from a distance they look like dirt spots. I spent hours with a needle and tweezers coaxing out colored threads - grrrr!! I'd order replacement covers, but I already have 3 sets with the same damage. I'm including 3 photos which show 6 spots, all on one cushion cover! I think the factory had bits of colored thread floating around and they became caught in the white fabric while it was being woven, because the colored threads are caught in the white fibers. I don't want to spend more hours trying to "fix" Ikea's problem. What a pain. I can't seem to load more than 1 photo, but I have others of red, yellow, green and grey threads. Crazy!2
Fantastic sofa at this price pointFurkanI've been sofa-hunting for quite some time yet this specific model has been out of stock forever. I immediately bought it when it was in stock and now I can see why there's so high demand. It's quite comfortable and stylish. One issue it has is the back cushions where the parts that don't touch the back of the sofa will start sagging.5
Nice couch, but poor QCBenThis is a relatively cheap IKEA couch. It's nice for the price. The seat covers on the main sofa frame Velcro on, and mine was missing a piece of Velcro on the frame. It wasn't available as a spare part (because it is supposed to come stapled to the couch - the staples to hold the Velcro were all there, but somehow the Velcro itself just never made it), so my only option would have been to exchange the entire thing. I ended up just spending $25 on a staple gun and a heavy duty Velcro strip to fix it myself. The couch is nice otherwise, but the QC and support aren't great.3
Good sofa at a reasonable price YanhuaSofa is good quality and easy to put together, affordable.5
Solid and comfortable.ParinazPerfect size for our small space. Have not had need to wash covers yet.5
Saltsjobaden sofa exactly what I was looking for!NormaPlaced in my SUV, took it home, put it together and all is well! Very Comfortable, firmer cushions than I expected which was nice surprise! Love removable covers!5
Totally works!KarenThis is a really great sofa - especially for the price. The seats are firm but comfortable. The two large back cushions were a little high for my taste so replaced them with 2 down king size bed pillows with textile covers and one 24” x 24” decorative pillow. Really works!! Comfy & looks great. Sofa is good elegant design, and sturdy.5
Sits like a more expensive couch than it isBetsyI needed a couch to last a year. I didn't want to spend a lot of money and I sat on the Saltsjöbaden 3-seater in the showroom. I liked it. I bought it.
It arrived today and took me about an hour to build. I took some breaks. It's super easy. Calls for 2 people. I'm a 63-year old short person and had no trouble on my own.
The cushions are very firm out of the box, but I know they will soften a bit after some use based on the feel of the showroom couch. I hope they stay firm. I'm looking forward to my first nap.
I did not iron the cover or cushion covers and honestly didn't need to. The fit is perfect. You have to tug a bit, but it fits and looks nice and smooth.
This was one of the easiest IKEA pieces I've built. Very few pieces. No tools needed.5
Great couchFayeEasy to put together. Super firm cushions, which met my expectations. Cover has some loose threads. I would suggest a quality review.5
What a perfect couchYogitaWe bought this for a bedroom and I wasn't sure how good it would be as there aren't many reviews. Got it in the gray-blue color and it's absolutely striking. Firm and very comfy to sit with feet up. If you move the back pillows, you can probably even sleep. It looks very modern and sleek. Thanks IKEA as I was looking for a perfect couch for this room for a while and sent 2 back as they didn't fit well! Finally chose this and I couldn't be happier.5
SaltsjobadenRyanI bought this couch as I'm in a temporary apartment and didn't want to break thet bank on something that might only be used for a year or two. Needless to say, I'm very impressed with the quality given the price point. Feel wise, it's much more similar to the Morabo than, say, the Linanas. The bottom cushions are also firm, but I already feel them softening a bit after a month of use. It's a new product, so we'll see how it holds up after a year or two, but so far I'm very happy with the purchase.5
Great value, great looksNicholasWe were skeptical with this couch being in the $500 price range, but we wanted something we wouldn’t be too upset about if it got messy or stained. We got the tonerud orange brown and LOVE it. Whenever I look at it, it makes me happy. The cover does nice and tight, it really doesn’t look like a cover at all. The seating position is very comfortable and upright. My only small complaint with seating is on the firmer side, but I’m hoping it softens a bit over time. Otherwise, great couch.5
Very Nice CouchGrahamIts assembly went quickly and easily as you would expect from IKEA furniture. All of the slip covers went on with some working and fit precisely like a glove. The cushions are nicely firm. Great looks. Worth it.5
excellent couchAndreaI received the couch today and was able to build it by myself in about 1.5 hours. It was fairly easy to do and not tools were needed. The couch is beautiful and very comfortable. The back cushions come off so it can serve as a day bed if needed. It is really gorgoes and the perfectly medium firm. I got it in white with birth legs and love it!5
