Ikea Has Upped Their Quality!RachaelWhen looking for chairs for our new Nordviken table, We were not impressed with the Nordviken chairs. While rustic and quaint looking, they are uncomfortable to sit on. I'm not sure of the heaviness since we did not end up buying them or putting them together. However, these Rosentorp chairs are a dream! Our family has had IKEA furniture for 14 years. We always get the highest and furniture that IKEA has sold. I've put together countless dressers, Entertainment Centers, and even another table. And I can tell you first hand IKEA has upped the game. These chairs are not only beautiful, they are solid! They feel nicer than most of the chairs we looked at at higher end furniture stores. I'm not just saying that, it's true! Even the table that we bought was shockingly higher quality and solid as well. These are also incredibly comfortable and feel like we spent much more money than we did on them. Overall, 10 out of 10!

Very Sturdy, easy to cleanTrudiWith a large family ranging from 1-19 it’s difficult to find chairs to suit everyone’s needs. I needed chairs to suit large teenage boys and fit highchairs. I needed something that could easily be wiped down and wouldn’t stain. These chairs fit the bill! Sturdy and heavyweight they don’t easily tip over or get pushed around by my two year old and hold up to the abuse of my teenagers. My only complaint (and it’s a small one) is that they were a little challenging to put together. Some of the screws were difficult to get snug and as a result a couple of the chairs are a little “off”. Nothing that affects the overall function but a bit of a frustration. Would purchase again in a heart beat!

Good Solid Comfortable SeatingMichaelOur first (primary) order unfortunately did not deliver the Rosentorp chair due to availability. Working with Customer Service we received them promptly. These are reasonably priced comfortable chairs … and fairly simple to assemble!

Don't buy it, quality is very badPei-ChunI owned 6 this chairs and 2 of the chairs started to fall apart or broken after 1 year mark. Of course, you are over warranty, so they are not replacing it for you. Ikea should have better solution to fix our dining chairs. Bad quality with this price point

Great chair but needed dremel tool to assemblePeterThe finished chair is great… it’s solid and seems very durable after a month of use. We purchased four, and for two of them the cutout was offset too deep for the bolt threading to take hold and attach the front legs (step 8). I had to use a dremel to cutout a good amount of wood until the bolt could thread into the metal fitting. This was very frustrating and I was just glad I had the tools to work through it, which many people may not have available.
