Pieces didn’t match up, falling apart after 2 monthsDaphneI bought my dresser in person so I didn’t get a chance to read the reviews and i wish i did. It took forever to build and not all of the pieces lined up, some of the hardware just simply wasn’t the correct size. Now after about 2 months, the bottom supports of the dresser have fallen apart and i can’t reattach them. The drawers barely opened to start with and now I can’t open them at all or close them. I wish I could return this but I unfortunately lost my receipt 1
Plastic drawer slides brokenKellyAs many reviewers have also reported, the plastic drawer slides broke after just a few months of use. I've ordered replacement parts because I don't want to treat the dresser as disposable, but it will be a project to figure out a way to install them so they don't immediately break again. Do not recommend.1
AwfulSaraGot this dresser little less than a year ago so I could put it in my closet to free up space in my room. Drawer breaks like 4 months in. Half of the dresser started slanting over time 2
Broke way too quicklyCatherineIn general we love Ikea stuff, we have tons of dressers and cabinets from them, but this one was just so cheap, it broke after about 18 months of very normal use.1
Cheap for a reason!Haleyjust echoing what other reviews had said. Should have read them before purchasing. Seriously don’t waste your time and money. Building it was a nightmare because it kept splintering, and it only lasted about 4 months before the plastic drawer tracks completely broke.1
Solid and easy to put togetherHeatherI purchased 4 of these and they are solid and easy to put together. My only issue is 1 of the 4 most of the holes didn't get drilled. Also I wish there was a few spare parts because 2 of the cam locks broke and im trying to find replacements. But overall nice furniture.4
I don’t recommend.RyanBroke right away. Drawers have poor design.1
Whoever designed this dresser should change careers.MichaelGenuinely impossibly stupid design. I assembled several other pieces of Ikea furniture right before this one and was pleased with how simple yet elegant the designs were. This was the complete opposite. Contained a massive number of nails, screws, and assorted screw in parts. Said screws were generally a complete mess, as whoever designed the assembly method of this seemed to be under the impression the wood would be precision machined (its not) and thus the tiny differences in lengths or positions of holes tend to result in about 1/3 of the screws being genuinely unusable because the things its meant to screw through don't even line up. Genuinely shameful that Ikea is even selling this garbage. The body of the dresser was under so much tension when assembled that despite taking my time and using a handheld screwdriver, when I screwed in the last screw one of the boards cracked in half.1
Bad Product - Breaks oftenJesseThe metal screws were super weak and stripped very easily. Barely got the thing together. Upon using the dresser, every month or so one of the plastic guard rails breaks where the screw goes through and I have to patch job it back together. 3 drawer slots have broken now and cannot be reattached given the broken plastic rails. Wish the plastic was more durable given you are using metal screws with it1
AwfulJessicaDo not purchase this. Ridiculously difficult to assemble and the pieces are so fragile that sever screws snapped while building it. It has been in use for barely a handful of months and is breaking. Save your money.1
DisappointedWaverlyI purchased this in February 2026 and a month and a half later, almost all of the dresser tracks (plastic) broke apart. Even with being as gentle as possible, they are cracked. There are no replacement parts available and I have a practically brand new dresser that is completely non-functional.1
Falls Apart EasilyChandraWe like the dressers and have them lined up as a sideboard. We get a lot of compliments on it. Unfortunately the bottom of the drawers fall out repeatedly and the fronts fall off. We've never had this issue before with ikea, so it's a bit strange. We read many reviews regarding the drawer slides. They work fine for us. We're not cramming drawers full or anything like that. The slides are fine if you're not a rough person. But the drawer boxes falling apart is a bummer. We get a good laugh though 😂 we're looking into reinforcing them somehow.2
hardware hardly hardAnonymous reviewerwe bought 3 of these dressers for the kids. the drawer slides are plastic and many of them have broken. Don't bother with this unless you like throwing new things away.1
InstructionsElizabethThe product is good, but the instructions are very bad. The parts should be labeled with numbers or letters. I messed up in the beginning but found a video in YouTube.3
flumzy and not a good dresserFarhadDon't waste your money on this. Its flumzy and the drawer falls apart. We are very disappointed in this and we bought two of them for our kids1
Poor qualityDesireeI’ve never bought something from IKEA that was of this low quality. The sliding mechanism for the drawers are plastic. I split a brace trying to secure it to the side because some holes didn’t line up. I checked at least four times making sure I didn’t put it together incorrectly. The wood isn’t sanded so if you want to paint it, that’s an extra step. Not worth the hassle. Just spend some extra money to buy something nicer. The solid wood was what I wanted and I thought I was going to save some money by purchasing something unfinished that I could paint myself. I regret this purchase.1
Instructions JadenVery nice dresser , very dumb and confusing instructions 3
Pieces don't fit right, keeps falling apartThedaArrived with warped boards that wouldn't fit together properly. Rods were nearly impossible to fit into the holes during assembly. The assembled dresser keeps falling apart, and the drawers won't stay in their tracks. Waste of money. The one good thing is that it has a decent amount of room for storage without taking up too much space, but that doesn't matter much when the dresser is unusable.2
Fine.MollyThis is a fine product. It was hard to build, the left side board was crooked. I thought I fixed it because it was able to come together but now the drawers are completely falling apart and will not stay on their tracks. All the screw holes are stripped and cannot be fixed. The base board is completely splitting and the screws from the side board are not even connecting to the base anymore. Drawers are falling on top of each other and will not open without wiggling and force.2
Multiple issues in need of improvement. TaylorIt’s a really nice dresser. The putting together was very frustrating. I had to redrill all of the knobs because the dresser handles wouldn’t screw on all the way. Which was an issue with other parts of the dresser as well. Some things didn’t line up correctly. Like I said nice dresser. Just wish the assembly would have been easier. 3

IKEA takes the lead to reduce the risk of tipping

At IKEA, we want to create a better everyday life for the many people – and a safer life is a better life. That’s why we constantly work to develop innovative stability solutions.

Furniture tipping over is one of the home furnishing industry's most serious safety issues and we’ll never stop working on innovative stability solutions for our storage furniture. A tip-over accident can happen when you least expect it. It could be someone using a drawer as support to stand up or children climbing to reach something on top. But no one can predict all the scenarios that everyday living at home can create. That’s why the best way to avoid tipping accidents is to always anchor the furniture to the wall. But we also offer new stability solutions that help make our storage furniture safer. One example is our stability feature Anchor and Unlock. "It means that the chest of drawers must be anchored to a wall to be able to open more than one drawer at a time, which reduces the risk of tipping, but doesn’t entirely remove it. By anchoring the chest of drawers to the wall, you unlock the drawers and can open them all at once," says Björn Andreasson from the development team. Another way we increase stability is to integrate it into the design. "With GREÅKER cabinet with drawers, for example, we´ve developed hinges that stop the doors at a 115-degree angle and keep them there to reduce the risk of tipping," says product developer Dagmara Pawlus. IKEA of course meets all safety requirements in our markets, but we don’t just settle for this. We often set higher demands than what legislation requires to help people enjoy a better everyday life – in a safer home.
