Small storage needed and it works PaulaIt’s real wood. I actually could put it together by my 71 year old self with out much trouble. The only thing dissatisfying were the draw stoppers. Inconsistent. I stained it white. I’ll probably get another. 5

Terrible dresserMirandaI bought 2 of these around a year ago and both have completely broken. The middle brakes entirely and the top stops closing right after 4 months and the bottom falls off its rails. Actually all of them do!!! I followed the instructions fully the only thing keeping it up is a flimsy piece of plastic. All wood mind you. WOOD IS HEAVY IKEA!!!!!1

As far as assembly, it’s Ikea. Yes there are going to be a million parts. Yes it’s going to take time. Yes they have option to pay someone to come built it for you if you’re gonna complain. The rails recently broke off the top drawer but it is in a 3 year old room. Who knows how long he’s been swinging off of it. But it was so worth the money, if I can find the part in IKEA I will be purchasing a replacement. 5
Do not purchaseDonikaThe pieces, including the metal parts (which aren't many) break during assembly. The holes do not line up. Everything inside is plastic. Ikea wants me to repackage this half assembled thing back up in order to retrieve my wasted money from them, which is about the worst customer service imaginable. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS.1

Hit or missLauraI got two of these. The first one had me fighting for my life. It was extremely difficult to assemble. I needed a mallet for the dowels to fit and a few of the boards split during assembly. I also had to really muscle a few of the screws to get them to fit. It’s assembled now, but I’m not confident that it will hold up well with regular use. By comparison, the second one was a breeze to assemble. It didn’t have any splits during assembly, the dowels fit easily, and it took less time and far less brute force. It did have one knob that was hard, but it was so much easier. I’ve gotten many furniture items from IKEA before, so I’m not a novice to their assembly, but this one was more difficult than the usual. Will it work? Yes. Would I buy it again? Probably not. Maybe if I knew it’d be like the second one I would, but that first one almost had me returning both before it was fully assembled. 3

Waste of moneyJelaniWood support beams split during assembly due to the soft wood, which I tried to repair with wood glue. Half the time, some pieces don’t want to cooperate with the dowels. And screws won’t fully screw in.1
Reliable, but it's changedKellieWe've bought several of these, going back as far as 7 years when we got one for our son's dorm room, for use under the lofted bed. It's survived his casual abuse and frequent moves, so I can't complain a bit about quality. Bought two more a few years ago to use in a basement bathroom for towel storage, but only recently assembled them. They're still hardy, useful little chests. So much so, that I decided to get *just* one more for that same bathroom. Sadly, although it may still be hardy, it's not quite as little -- it's 3" deeper than it used to be (I imagine this is an effort to make them less likely to tip), and so it doesn't fit in the space where I need it to go. And I can move one of the older ones into that space, but now it only has 1 knob per drawer, so it LOOKS different than the old ones, which is to say, it doesn't match. Not sure how I'll resolve the issue, but I do still think it's a very versatile piece.4
Great, but plan on replacing hardwareBrandonLove that this is solid wood! I just wish all the hardware was actual metal. I had no problem with the plastic drawer slides/guides but the plastic "nail peg things" for attaching the drawer backs were a no-go for me. They didn't seem to want to go in and I was afraid if I forced them with the hammer that they might break in the holes or split the wood. Also, they are one-directional, so if you do manage to mash them into place you can never remove them again. I tried multiple times to get the right size screws to replace them and on both trips to the hardware store different staff remarked on what a good idea it was to replace them with metal. Once I had the right hardware, they were easy to assemble. We got two of these for child use and they both went together fine, no issues with the predrilled holes. The single knob is easier for kids too.4
Exactly what I neededDeniseI did not have any issues with hole alignment. It went together easily. I needed a small dresser to put in my small closet to maximise my space and this does the job well. Buying more for the great of me needs. 5
Good for what it isEliotBought 2 of these, they’re fairly simple to assemble but it did require more physical force than I expected. You’ll need a hammer and there are some large screw/bolts that take some finessing. On both dressers those bolts cracked the wood supports, and I was sure I’d have to return the item, but I was able to put the rest of it together around the busted bits and it works fine. It’s a simple dresser, I didn’t expect the world, and neither should you3
Good option for low usage chestRoseBought 2 more. I've had 4 other of these over the years, and left them when I sold the house or donated. Pretty much what I expected them to be, with some downgrades from the past. I used a power tool to assemble, and would never have managed assembly just using the tool they provide and manual screwdrivers. Some of the holes needed adjusting with drill bits. I also highly recommend using a dab/bead of all purpose glue or wood glue on all of the screws and joints for increased stability and the best longevity. In the end I would never want to use these chests for daily use. The drawers aren't smooth and there are minimal connectors are holding the units together. But they are inexpensive and suit me for additional storage of things I don't need on a daily basis, but don't want to pack away in a storage bin like swimsuits; hosiery; some jewelry etc. etc.4
Perfect toddler drawersVictoriaI got two of these & they arrived just days apart. The first one I got I had probably a bit too much coffee, I was a bit jittery. During the assembly of the first drawers I accidentally over tightened one of the screws that hold the drawer slides, a bit of lock tight fixed that problem right up. Then at the end when they have you hammer in the nails they give you this little device that holds the nails so you don’t smash fingers I figured I’d give it a shot. I tried it once and the nail kept going wonky and came out the side bit of the drawers so I decided to abandon that and just do it the way I was taught. I probably was a bit better then the device I only made a few others wonky with my shaking hands. When the next drawers arrived I learned from my mistakes and the drawers came out much better. All in all the first one took me about 2 1/2hrs to build and the second one took me about an 1 1/2hrs because the littles decided they wanted to help. They love their drawers are their size.5
Misaligned drill holesPrakritThe drill holes are not aligned properly. As I was setting up the bottom bar, the screw went in at an angle and ended up with a crack with the screw exposed from the broken bar. The stability of this dresser is now compromised. So, I'm quite sad that I cannot use a newly bought dresser.2
