Mostly Great with one Design FlawMary O.I was so happy when these finally came back in stock because I love the overall style and with limited bedside table space, I really wanted clamp lamps to attach to my bed frame for night-time reading. BTW, after I purchased, I saw the instructions do not recommend that. The clamp is really tight though, so they're definitely working and look as great as I thought they would. However there is one design flaw in my opinion. They put the on/off switch so close to the lamp even though the cord, which I love, is super long. Unfortunately this makes it impossible for me to turn it off while lying down and ready to go to sleep. As I usually have a dog, cat, or both snuggled in, that means I disrupt everyone just to turn the light off. Guess my next step is to get with the times and figure out how to turn them off via an app:).4
Useless without a lightbulbI haven't been able to find the recommended light bulb for this lamp, it's been a year. Now I see that it comes with a light bulb, but for those of us who purchased this awhile back, we still need to be able to see which bulb to look for. I return to the site frequently to see when the bulb will be in stock.1
E12 bulbsAUDREYWish I would have realized that an E12 is a chandelier bulb. Love the look of these lamps, just wish they used standard bulbs and were rated for a higher wattage. I plan to use them to supplement light for my house plants and it’s hard to find grow bulbs that will work. I may have to re-wire them to work for my use.4
LampsJoan G.Work great, love the look. Using for my office standing desk. Just clipped to my shelves above my desk, perfect.!!!5
Some good, some badChibilsI bought this lamp to place over a large houseplant to give it some supplemental light. I had planned to equip it with a plant-grow bulb, but despite the large bell around the socket, this light only accepts an E12 bulb (the tiny socket candelabra type). I don't think anyone even makes grow lights in an E12 socket. Now I have to return this and find another lamp, because it's not listed anywhere that accepts a non-standard lightbulb. It's a shame, because this is a very attractive and solid-feeling fixture.4
Pretty and functionalLouisahEasy to assemble, and so stylish!4
Looks greatRoscoe2Live in small studio, takes up no space, lights area needed, I am going to purchase a second one for bedroom area.5
Stylish but dimmob014I bought this, which I affixed to the side of a 5-drawer dresser. It is pointed at the wall to bounce and amplify its light, since it's very dim and uses a very small, dim bulb. My room is about 14'x11', and this lamp is not enough to brighten the room. In fact, it's dimmer than the lamp at my desk. I recommend this as a bedside lamp and not as a main source of light for any space larger than a reading nook.3
Wall lamp with a clamp411posiThis lamp is sturdy, & gives just the right light. It's can be moved to any position where needed, & fits in a small place. It's clipped onto a shelve above my desk which is just great, & easy to switch on. No need to take up any room on my already cluttered desk. And the price was just right. Thank you Ikea5
Love that its a plug inTori24My room doesn't have a flush mount so this paired with my other clamp light gives me the right amount of light that I need . Only knocked down a star because the light it comes with is very dim on its own.4
Looks nice. Confusing PartsDKJetI like the look of the lamp, but the instructions are confusing and lacking details. The lamp comes with some extra metal parts, supposedly for the clamp, but it’s not clear at all when to use them and why they are there.4
Screws not includedHellcatThis lamp looks good and works well, but I was incredibly aggravated to open the package and learn that the mounting bracket is included, but not the screws for it! The outer packaging does not tell you this. The only thing listed as excluded is the bulb. Even the instructions say all you need to have is a screwdriver to assemble it. Nope, byos--bring your own screws. Hope you have time for an extra trip to the hardware store. Very disappointing. Once you find the screws (or just clamp it to something else) it is a nice lamp, though.3
PachamozI love Ranarp products, their design is great! I am planing the buy them also in white for another room!!!5
