Horrible smell looks goodJessicaThe strong and lingering chemical smell is awful. I aired it our for a week and it still smelled. It’s been about a month and it’s not dissipating. Very disappointing the design of this piece is quite sophisticated but it stinks!
Attractive, solid, but strong odor and annoying to put together.KyleI’ve been buying ikea furniture for the last 20 years, and this is my first review. First off, I love the look of this dresser, and it feels very solid, with very smooth drawers. However, the assembly was unusually difficult because of the push and lock design of the pieces (I am not a fan of this method) and some weird alignment issues caused the ‘clicking’ in place to be extremely difficult with the large piece. Also, the plastic nails were very difficult to push into the boards, I ended up having to give up with the nails going into the back strip. Worst of all, there is such a strong odor that my entire room and clothes now smell like burnt /campfire smell for days. Pretty disappointing considering it was $400 with shipping. Hopefully the smell will go away soon :(
Greatest waste of moneyBarbaraDO NOT BUY
This has been the most difficult piece of furniture I’ve ever had to put together. I’ve assembled and disassembled twice and I’m now realizing that it’s faulty because no matter what I do, the holes don’t align to the panels. The quality is absolute GARBAGE. Since I’ve had to dismantle it now has knocks and scratches everywhere. I don’t have anyone to help me bring it back to the store. I contacted customer service, here’s the solution: I can pay to have IKEA come pick it up so I can get my return. I know we live in a world where it’s ok to pay nearly $400 for crap products but this takes the cake. IKEA quality has gone down in general & I wouldn’t recommend buying from them at all.

Looks nice but…..AnonymousThe dresser looks really nice, but I will be returning it. It has the strongest odor, especially the drawers. I have opened windows, have my air purifier on and still the smell is so strong. I got a headache from the smell and ended up sleeping in another room. I have purchased a lot from Ikea and never had to return anything until now. I want to be sure that I get a full refund so I now have to disassemble it so it won’t get damaged in transit. Very disappointed!

Beautiful - inside and out! JenniferI love this dresser. First of all, it’s beautiful to look at. The color inside the drawers is perfection and the knobs and base make it all come together!
Secondly, I love this dresser because it is a stable piece and has drawer space for days! I have sweatshirts and pants, shirts and still have room to add more.
I recommend using the service to have it put together, though. I don’t know how I would’ve done it without someone who was familiar with the product and got it done quickly, and was in and out. Worth every penny. Make sure you move the box to the room you want to have the dresser in because they do not do that themselves. They did clean up the mess and show me the piece to inspect before they left and explained the tool for tightening or adjusting the level if it needed to change, along with the tethering (which, I declined to have them install).

SO CUTEEricaI love this dresser. I hired a task rabbit to assemble it & he’s a pro. So assembling was cake for him. Took almost two hours. It came in three boxes, it is super heavy. I hate the knobs but you can swap them out. The color is too cute. The inside of the dresser is a nice blue! I purchased this online & it got here quick. Which is crazy because I live in crusty El Paso, TX. Anyway. 5/5 dresser, no notes.
Great design, terrible lack of instructions, connectors are all plasticGinaThis is a really pretty piece.But even for ikea, the assembly instructions were horribly lacking. Individual pieces are not labeled and you will probably put the wrong side piece together and have to disassemble it. The construction design is really smart, but all of the connectors are made of plastic. So the piece probably has a limited lifespan.
Very disappointed Brhea
I was so excited for this dresser for my new place! However, after building and rebuilding FIVE TIMES I’ve come to realize something is wrong with the railings. The dressers drawers on the top do not flush in all the way no matter how times I try. I honestly wish I could return this and never look back very overpriced not worth it at all. :(
Exactly what I was looking forAllisonI bought this while remodeling my master bedroom for a mid century look. Seems well made and the dark/navy blue interior of draws is an added bonus. Draws slide open easily, color is a beautiful walnut and I’m already receiving many compliments. I left off the legs as I was wanting a low profile.
Great piece. Easy to build and seems sturdy.MitchellThis is a great looking dresser, and seems quite sturdy so far. Slight gaps between the drawers and vertical pieces is the only issue I can see, and I feel that's nitpicking.
There's a lot of complaints about poor instructions, but the pictures match the pieces exactly, down to placement of holes and orientation in the images. I did accidentally get the outside panels swapped, but that was my fault, as soon as I referenced the pictures I could see my mistake clearly and this was with one eye as I had cataract surgery the next day. Even with having to pull those 2 panels back off I built this in my small bedroom in 3.5 hours, by myself. That includes me removing the old dresser, cleaning, and rearranging the entire room.
As to the quality. Yes there are some plastic cam locks in the drawers and such, but they feel very secure.
I really appreciate that even though this is your normal flat pack item, it comes in 3 separate containers making it easy for one person to move them around.
Was cheaper back in JulyGeorgetteWhen I originally found the dresser at Ikea in July, it was priced at $299 and not in stock at the time. Since then they have raised the price to $349.99... Crazy. It's a good dresser and I was eyeing it forever but the increase is so ridiculous for it just being Ikea quality.
Cheap quality and drastically overpricedCarolineIn addition to poor quality, this product is priced $60 more than it is in Canada, which amounts to $150 more with the exchange rate. Like all IKEA merchandise, the prices - predating the tariffs - have been raised just for American consumers. They are doing it because they can get away with it - it’s pure greed.
Nice looking but unclear instructionsLaurieWe really like the look of the dresser but the assembly instructions were not terribly clear, we ended up needing to swap the drawer rails before installing the drawers. One other note, the drawers do not open all the way, there is about 4” of drawer that remains in the dresser when you pull them open. Makes it hard to see what you have in the back of the drawer.
