Poor quality compared to other drawersKatieIt sure looks nice but price to quality ratio is poor. It's basically Brimnes quality on a metal frame and paper foil. An interesting feature (but hard to assemble): the drawers are click in using these plastic nubs (not sure how long these will last depending if the polymer dry rots) and it was a struggle to have them "click" properly. The drawer bottom is held up by a metal big staple of sorts to hold the board in place. IKEA, please go back to the designs where there's a metal support that runs from the front of the drawer to the back (or across depending on the width of the drawer). Not sure how the board will hold up if have a lot of heavy clothes (compared to a 2013 Brimnes with the metal supports). The pressed particleboard was similar to a Nature Valley granola bar: a lot of shedding, uneven texture under the foil paper, some chips, and not pressed as tightly compared to pre2020 IKEA. This has not been an issue post assembly but sad to see how poorly the product was made.3
Designed for Frustration?AnonymousI was quite taken with these when I first saw them online and then in the showroom. I purchased (2) units as I'd be assembling them by myself and knew the larger model would be impossible. In itself, it's not terribly difficult, other than trying to decipher the instruction diagrams, some of which could and should be larger. and clearer. Avoiding mistakes was a challenge, for fear that they couldn't be reversed. Tagging the individual pieces and coordinating with the diagrams seems like a no-brainer, so I honestly wonder if it's intentionally confusing (and I'm no stranger to IKEA product assembly). One small caveat: the clearance in the top drawer is less than expected, due to a metal support bar.
All that said, I'm extremely happy with them now. They seem sturdy and well-made (unexpectedly heavy) and simply but nicely detailed. Leveling both units side-by-side was a challenge, but that'd be true with any product.4
Stylish dresser, but the assembly was… an adventureMikeLooks great once it’s finally together, but getting there was more challenging than expected — and that’s coming from a seasoned IKEA builder. We intentionally chose the smaller version hoping to avoid the assembly chaos we’d heard about w/the larger one… yet here we are.
A few things would have made a huge difference:
• Labeled parts (T/B/L/R) would have saved us from assembling & then reassembling after realizing pieces were flipped.
• When we finally got it together, I was greeted w/the question: “Do you like the drawers blue or brown?” Zero desire to take it apart again, and to be fair, if the buyer had assembled the drawers instead of someone else, this probably wouldn’t have happened at all.
Also worth noting: a few of the panels arrived w/scratches. We’ll be reaching out to IKEA directly about that.
Final thoughts: looks great, functions well, but the assembly process was trickier than it needed to be. A little extra clarity in the instructions would go a long way.3
Great little dresser! AmberI have purchased a lot of IKEA furniture over the years. This is the most well made dresser I have purchased from IKEA. It’s hella cute with every detail thought of. It was challenging to assemble but that’s just me. I have to assemble, unassemble, reassemble because I am terrible at reading directions. But once I got done, arranged my room, very happy. And the price was great. I’m waiting for the other pieces to come back in because I want to order one of them as well. This is a+. 5
Easy to build and looks nice!RachelThe reviews made me worried about building this, but it was really straightforward and just like any other Ikea furniture. It took a little under 2 hours and that’s even with doing a few things upside down/backwards (and also without my drill because the battery died). It looks beautiful and is very spacious. I highly recommend.5
Love itReginaPutting it together was pretty easy in my opinion; it was no different from another Ikea dresser I put together. I'm very satisfied with the quality of the material. Some of the reviews kept me from purchasing but I'm glad I did it anyway.5
Nice when it’s assembled, if you ever get thereMadisonIt’s pretty, but the assembly process is nothing short of a nightmare.
While I somewhat expect this with IKEA furniture, having to drill new pilot holes because the original ones were so misaligned was not my plan.
Very few pilot holes on this piece actually align with where they are supposed to be right out of the box.
Make sure you have a drill and an assortment of bits, but even then you’ll probably cry during assembly.
Sincerely, someone who is bruised emotionally and physically by this chest. 3
mid century modern beautySarahThis is a beautiful chest. I love the size and the color. It looks so pretty in the bedroom. The sizes lets me store a lot of things and not take up a lot of room. I highly recommend.5
Poor qualityAnalyIt has been a big disappointment!
Poor quality. When I was putting it together, the wood started to crack.1

Pretty, VERY hard to put together, and chippedAnonymousI never spent more time putting something together. I haven’t even gotten to the second one yet. Usually the pictures are pretty easy to follow. You know they don’t put any words so you have to rely on the pictures. I thought I did it to the letter and had to take it all apart and start again because the sides were upside down. it was exhausting. Once I had it all together, I see that a piece of it is chipped. I kept everything on soft towels. I think it came chipped.3
Impossible to disassemble JaredThis dresses uses these locking fasteners that you’ll never be able to undo once they are together. I put a piece on backwards and I’ll have to return the whole thing because I can’t take it apart. 1
Poor materialAntonioPoor material, terrible instructions3
DrawerMagalyI am very satisfied with the quality of this item, and it was easy to install.5
AwesomeAmandaMatches our west elm furniture so well. We bought two to use as nightstands. They are perfect. The drawers are big and deep like most IKEA furniture. It was a pain to assemble, and we ended up breaking a piece of the back just a little, but that’s what happens when you put things together with two toddlers around lol4
