Missing and unmatched holes!ValenneSuch small piece but took me longer than building a dining table. There were two holes missing and the drill holes weren’t matching which added to my struggle in building this. Also, be mindful to sand this. Otherwise you’ll hurt yourself. Wanted to use this as an alternate bench but due to ALMOST HALF of the screws I wasn’t able to put, I’ll just use it as book display. I wouldn’t buy this again.2
WARNING; Wood splitting apart!JudyWarning! 8 months later the wood is splitting apart. Ikea will not replace. No warranty. Not in the sun and no heavy weight placed on the bench.1
GreatChandraShe's a fun one! I'll be waterproofing to have a potting bench in the garden.5
Functional and adaptable piece!AllysonUsing as my entryway shoe bench and it’s great!! Assembly took literally 30 minutes and I was able to stain it after a quick sand that same day. Had no issue at all!!!5
Nice and Sturdy!Sharonwe use this as a little “collect-all” spot in the entry-way. We keep one of IKEA’s long gray trays under it to hold muddy shoes when we need to, or we can put the shoes right inside this. Dog leashes and poop bags and purses go in it too. It feels rock-solid to me, as we can stand on it to reach higher things. It’s lightweight, and can be picked up using the little hole-handle with no problem at all. Love this thing!5
Perfect for the kidsGrantI needed a bench for my kids shoes and a place for them to sit and put them on. This bench is perfect for that.5
Looks good, hard to buildVanessaI needed to drill the screw holes deeper to get it together. It was impossible to screw together with only the tool provided.3
Nice and sturdy but jacked prices upSelenaWhat’s with the price gouging? I have a photo of this product from June 30th 2025 and it was 49.99 now today October 2025 it’s marked at 79.99. 30$ price increase in a few months. That’s crazy 3
Easy to build and sturdy!HeidiIt was a fun evening of building, and it turned out so sturdy! I stained it to match the wood in the rest of the house, and it’s perfect!5
PerjohanMariaLove this bench! I’m buying another soon.5
sturdy, good quality, multipurposeKodifairly simple to assemble. good quality, it's lightweight and sturdy. we've had it for about a year and it has held up well to frequent use as a bench, step stool, storage vessel, and an unintended cat scratch post. the cutout in the top makes it very easy to move. ours has been dubbed "the shoe bench." it lives by the front door so we can sit down to put on/take off shoes that are stored in the cubby underneath. it fits around 5 pairs of shoes, perhaps more if they're smaller or stacked efficiently.5
Perfect RobertJust needed something to provide overnight storage for pillows, books and misc, and to provides a seat to put on shoes . This bench with a shelf does it all5
Good quality ChungThis bench is perfect for my needs. I stained it to match tarva bed I purchased recently.5
Ideal for a large family AnnaWe have placed several next to each other and created a perfect shoe storage and seating option for getting dressed5
Great benchJenniferVery sturdy and well made. These are great as benches to sit on or as storage/decor. I’m really glad I bought these. I found that using a socket wrench with a bit made installing the screws easier since I didn’t have enough hand strength for the tool provided. 5
Great UtilityJohnGreat versatility, easy to assemble 5
Great for storageFrancescaVery easy to put together ,I’m using it to put plants on top and it’s so convenient to have the storage space underneath.I can keep my supplies and extra planters on hand.5
Love this benchAnnetteThe bench we ordered came so quick and delivered to my door the directions were so clear and it went it together so easy and it’s a beautiful addition to our home.5
Nice sturdy benchAnonymousSturdy, easy to assemble. Nice storage.5
GREAT PIECE OF FURNITURE!JazmineThis is by far my favorite piece of furniture I've ever bought from ikea. It was tricky for my friend and I to put together at first, but once we figured it out we got it done fairly quickly. This has so many possibilities! I used it as an entry bench to set my bags when I come in. I was so worried at first that it would be bulky for my studio apartment but its perfect! When I have friends over, I used it for extra seating. I can't wait to paint it! I'm also thinking of buying maybe two more purely because of it's functionality and size. Its' sturdy, the hole on the top works as a handle for easy carry so you can move it around. I really love this bench! 5

I bought 1, a little while ago to try it for sitting plants on in front of the window, with an added bonus of some storage as well. The out come was fantastic, so I bought another 2 and a small one. 😁
