OLSERÖD is two tables in one. A smart side table that you slide in front of you on the sofa to eat while watching TV – and then you can quickly transform it into a stylish coffee table when friends visit.

You can quickly transform this multifunctional table from a slightly higher side table into a lower coffee table to suit all the different activities that take place around the sofa.

The smart design of the side table allows you to slide the table top over your lap and enjoy a proper dinner while watching TV, without risking spills or the underframe getting in the way of your legs.

Stable to eat on and with a table top that has enough room for a plate, glass and cutlery – and the table top is easy to wipe clean when you're done.

You transform the table by removing the table top from the underframe, turning the underframe on its side and then fixing the table top in place again by using the fasteners under the table top.

The fabric pouch under the table top is a smart storage space for small items you want close at hand. The pouch is fixed to the underframe with touch-and-close fastening so it’s easy to remove and wash.

You can decide how tightly the pouch is fixed to the underframe. Looser screws make it possible to pivot the pouch, so it easily adjusts to the desired function.

A clean shape, an industrial expression and toned-down colors mean that the table goes with most decors and becomes a nice design element in the entire home.

You can easily lift and move the table around to use it in different rooms and contexts, for example by the armchair in the reading corner.

Good Bjorkasen AlternativeTrumanI wish it was slightly stronger so I can occasionally lean on it when I use my laptop. The max weight capacity in an upright position for the desk supports only 7.5lb. It's also slightly taller for me in a vertical or upright position. However, I like everything else including the surface of the desk, the size of the desk, the round corners, and the weight.5
TerribleErwinThis table looked nice in the store and it was easy to assemble. Then the last part, putting on the top piece. It is held on by 4 pieces of plastic. I don't understand why such a nice piece of furniture has this flaw. It just falls right out when you put a significant amount of pressure. Why would you want to remove the table top? It makes no sense. 3 days later I put my laptop down on it and one of the plastic pieces shattered, flew across the room and smashed into my window. I disassembled it and set up a return. I own quite a bit of IKEA furniture and this is the only time I have been completely disappointed.1

sliding tableTommiI like this product, but the top is not attached to the frame. Therefore, one can't move the table easily. If you try to move the table by pushing the flat table surface, the board just comes off the frame and falls.3
Great design, horrible unsealed tabletop.SaraI wanted a small c-table to set my coffee and book on. The design of this piece with its price point is great. I would prefer it was slightly smaller, but that's just my use case. Like other reviews state, the tabletop absorbs liquid like a sponge, and ruins almost immediately. I'm not even sure how it was possible to manufacture a finished surface that absorbs liquid so quickly. This is a complete dealbreaker. One misplaced cold drink, one wayward drip or splash, and the piece is ruined. So the cost effectiveness is completely canceled out.2

Top absorbs liquidSeverinaLove the space-saving convenience and how it can be converted between a side table/computer table and a coffee table. BUT the top absorbs liquid sooooo quickly that the paint chips off! We’ve had LACK tables that held up for years, whereas this table top lasted just a few months before water damaged showed up. Super disappointing, since you can’t even buy a new top separately. Instead, you’re stuck with a top that will continually absorb water each time you set a drink that will create condensation on the outside down on the table. Wish we knew this before we purchased it. Now we’re stuck with it.3
