Bad quality/designPaulaThe steel frame seems very sturdy but the plastic pieces that hold the wood flats are very flimsy and tore/broke within 6 months of light usage. For a $600 product you would expect they made these things to last, given that they offer a 10 year warranty. Other than that, it is comfortable and easy to use. 1
Design FlawJames Tsz HimI love this sofa bed so much because of the easy conversion. However, like most comments mentioned, the plastic holder is sooooo weak that it only last for about a year where I only have less than 20 hours sitting time + 10 nights of sleeping for my guests. I wish they have warranty for this. Pretty disappointed with the price paid that only able to use for a year1
Bad design BenjaminWe have had this for less than 2 years and almost all of the plastic holders on bottom are broken and half of the wooden planks are broken. Complete trash!1
IKEA, please fix NYHAMN design flaws!TimI've owned this sleeper sofa for 2 years. It's in a guest room and rarely used. As SEVEN other reviewers have noted, the cheap and flimsy plastic pieces that are riveted to the frame and hold the wooden support slats in place started breaking within a couple of uses. With nothing holding them in place, the slats disconnected from the frame, leaving the mattress unsupported. Note, there is no way to replace the plastic pieces, since they are riveted to the frame. I did contact IKEA and they honored the ten year warranty and replaced the frame. Much to my disappointment, the replacement frame has the same CHEAP and FLIMSY plastic pieces. It's only a matter or time before those will break too, and I'll have to warranty the frame AGAIN. IKEA, please fix this design flaw. You tout your commitment to sustainability, please make sustainable products that last. 2

+1 year use updateSalihaThe plastic support beams are popping off and breaking. It's used everyday in couch position and only 150 pounds is put on it, so why does it keep breaking? Find a different sofa bed.1
