Product details

Storage in the headboard saves space and makes it easier to access boxes or drawers under the bed; and it’s easier to vacuum too.

The soft felt pad absorbs sound, protects from scratches and keeps small items in place.

You can choose where to position the boxes and shelves since they easily slot into the headboard’s grooves.

You can hide cables for lamps and chargers by feeding them through the holes at the back of the shelf.

You decide the height of the headboard since it needs to be mounted to the wall.

NORDLI headboard is assembled and mounted on the wall in just a few steps.

Easy to bring home since the headboard is divided into two pieces.

Amazing furniture at amazing pricesMichael R.We have recently redone our master bedroom and closet using both of IKEA’s Nordli and Aurdal series. The quality and ease of assembly are outstanding. Finally, both look amazing.5
FrustratingJUSTINI have put together a lot of IKEA furniture. The screws on this blew through the front side. I have to go back to the store to do an exchange (which is 2 hours away). I hope round 2 will be better.2
Perfect for our spaceRachelAbsolutely love it! I was worried because others say it scratches easily but if you lay a blanket down before assembly it seems to all work out well! As ours has no scratches on it! Highly recommend5
Great product!!elizabethGreat product!!5
Just make sure nothing haveGLORIBELJust make sure nothing have contact with the product because cause scratches easy3
The headboard is okay. IKEA is awful.LaurenI ordered the headboard and bed frame. IKEA messed up, delivered only the headboard. Now the frame is out of stock. I have half a bed and need to pay additional delivery fees once it’s back in stock if I want the whole bed. IKEA has done NOTHING to rectify the situation.1
BeautifulSydney W.Came super quick. Took 30 minutes to put together before having someone mount it for us. Really good buy!5

A Very modern look! LoveShantaeA Very modern look! Love it5
Awesome!!HaleyIt looks extremely nice and extremely clean. However you have to mount it to the wall and it’s very very heavy. It comes with side table pads!! Use them!!! Store side note: I didn’t care for the associates at ikea telling me that I could only buy a certain bed frame for it. You can technically buy any bed frame with it.4
Good product.AhmedGood product. Somewhat heavy. Make sure it is suitable for your room and the wall / dry wall support it.4
Great lookRachel757So first, it's gigantic! Way bigger than we thought, it's seriously a wall. Be sure your room is big enough for the large one before you buy!!! The shelves are fantastic. The brackets take a while to hang without a stud finder.5
Great itemLauraI bought it for my daughter's bed and she love it5
JPSIIBought to use as Bach drop of entertainment center looks awesome.5
Beautiful bedPietjesSo beautiful. We bought this about 6 weeks ago after we got the bed a couple of weeks prior. The guest room we put it in is now so inviting that everyone including me wants to stay there now. The material used for the bed and headrest are very solid and should last for a very long time.5
Headboard is 9 ft long, NOT 70KatherineLianBought this a few two days ago and assembled it all yesterday. I bought the matching bedframe as well. The headboard is SUPER heavy and way longer than they say it is. It does not come with screws to mount it to the wall either. The mounts will end up going into drywall because they are not spaced out well. Theres also only 2 pieces to mount to the wall and the headboard rests on those two pieces which is concerning since its very heavy. There is no way to attach it to the bed which is a big downfall of this product. Im so disappointed with the quality of this headboard and the bedframe given the positive reviews and price.3
Loving itKatharinaNWe love it ... could not be happier with it ❤️ The white one looks super modern and sleek and realy like the attachments that come with it5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill waste – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a valuable resource instead of being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look. The day your sofa or bed needs replacing, the material in the particleboard can be recycled into something entirely new.

Designer thoughts

Designer thoughts

"When I designed the NORDLI bedroom series I was inspired by modern Scandinavian design and smart functions. It all started with just a bed and bedside table, then grew into a complete series. Each piece works great alone or combined with others. They all have their own special features with focus on functionality and quality. The modular chests come in different shapes and sizes that you can combine freely to suit your space. Some pieces are also great in other rooms too, like the living room, hall – even in a small business."
