Worst furniture building experience I’ve ever hadStellaI saw that the building reviews were terrible after I bought this dresser so I hired a task rabbit for this dresser and a bigger one through ikea like they suggested. One person told me they wouldn’t do the travel for the project and one person never showed up and ghosted me. So I built the dresser myself and the pieces did not align at all. Bruised my hand trying to get the pieces into place. It is finally together now but just don’t get this dresser in the first place.1
Drawers are terribleEsmeraldaFrame was an easy build. Drawer panels weren't matching up and took a bit of hits for it to match up and lock in place. Bottom drawer doesn't line up for some odd reason and feels like it's just sitting on the drawer mechanism instead of locked in. Still deciding if I should return or just have someone make adjustments so the bottom drawer isn't "loose" :/1
Somewhat easy to buildCesarBuilding the whole frame itself was fast and easy, putting the actual drawers together was a nightmare. The drawers have these little slots for the floor of the drawer to slide in but the there are also holes that weren’t fully lining up, preventing the floor to fully slide into it’s designated slot. I was this close to giving up and returning. I tried really hard by hand to fit it in the holes. Ultimately, I had to give it a quick hit with my mallet and it managed to fit. So if anyone is having issues with that, try giving it a good hit with a rubber mallet. Don’t be afraid to hit it, it’s actually pretty durable.2
Very poor quality CharleneBought three to build a custom bench for my kid. I had spent the day assembling and ikea desk and an ikea bookshelf with ease and satisfaction. While the nordly is very easy to assemble because it literally assembles like a kinder egg toy, it has less structural soundness than a Lego built. I am returning everything, something I have never done with ikea products.1
Wouldn’t recommendJennaThe construction is of a lower standard than I’m used to with IKEA. As the parts began to crumble (and didn’t fit together properly), I decided to cut my losses and return the item. I’m searching for used Nordli dressers as the older models appear to be sturdier.1
Low Quality; Drawers Disintegrating During AssemblyKatieI should have read the reviews. Like others, I have put together almost an entire 4 bedroom home full of Ikea furniture and have never had as much trouble as I have with this drawer set. The friction fit is off where the drawer sides meet the front, so the bottom cannot fully seat in place, which in turn blocks the back of the drawer from connecting correctly. The drawer sides and back are crumbing off in pieces, so I can’t put any pressure on them to try and slide them fully into place so the slot lines up. Such a disappointing and frustrating experience, especially at this price point. IKEA has some amazing furniture series, but Nordli isn’t one of them. And yes, I know I can return, and I will be once I can carve out 3+ hours of drive time I wasn’t planning for. Don’t be me. Bring home anything other than Nordli and save yourself the trouble.1
Nice soft-close drawers, good heightRachelI’m not sure why there are so many bad reviews on these. They were super easy to assemble (zero tools or even the mini wrench required). They’re a good height next to the NORDLI bed. I have zero complaints and really like the soft-close drawers.5
Worst ikea product I’ve ever purchasedJenniferI didn’t read reviews before buying as I picked it out in the store. Huge mistake. Like others have said it is a nightmare to assemble and even following directions it kept falling apart. I’ve assembled so many ikea items over 20 years. I’m not a novice. Even once I got it assembled it feels like it will fall apart if moved around. I’m planning to return it. Also for $99 should be much better quality. 1
pieces don’t fit togetherVeronicai have the nordli dresser and the only issues i had with that one came from my own incompetence so i wanted the nordli chest of drawers to match. however, the drawers themselves are so incredibly difficult to out together its not worth it. i should have listened to the reviews before buying this. the sides of the drawers are supposed to line up with an indent on the front of the drawer but they dont line up so i cant fully assemble the drawers themselves to put it all together. incredibly frustrating.2

Simple NightstandZackAssembly is fine and sure it would be nice if it was stackable but it serves its purpose well. 5
Assembling nightmarePeterGood luck assembling it. I had no problems with other IKEA furnitures but this one was extremely difficult to put together. The other problem is that the back of this Nordli drawer is ugly brown which you cannot see on the online pictures. I’m keeping it because the similar Malm drawer is not available currently but I recommend the white Malm drawer instead of this Nordli. 2
Impossible Assembly, Extremely Poor EngineeringKarthikI’ve purchased several IKEA products over the years with great results, but this 2-drawer chest was a major disappointment. It is impossible to assemble without breaking, despite following the instructions carefully. I’m honestly shocked that this product made it past design and quality control. I regret buying it without checking past reviews, as this was an extremely frustrating experience—so much so that I created an account on the website just to write this review.

Horrible quality, horrible engineeringAnonymousI have been building ikea furniture since 30 years with no issues and I build a huge nordli 6 drawer chest with NO problem . I want these to match my bedroom set but they are just not possible to put to build, they literally fall apart while building . I just don’t know what to do but this is an ikea engineering problem and not consumer problem 1

Horrible assemblyBryceI had one Nordli drawer from 2021 and wanted to buy a second to match it. Since then, they have “updated” the build, which involves removing a few pegs in exchange for slotting the drawers together. This new design is horrible; you will almost assuredly do cosmetic, if not structural, damage during assembly. 2
No stars : worst machines/build ever purchased ShaunThe only reason I’m keeping it is because I didn’t want to admit defeat on how horribly this thing fell apart while assembling it not to mention this brand product is going to have some defects coming out the gate on first wave. When you assemble the bottom piece of the drawers sliding in the groove, and you attach the back piece over the lip, be prepared to walk on eggshells as it will definitely fall apart. But the fact that it got destroyed was Sun I’m pretty sure I’d be denied either way. Looks great though :-)1
