UnfunctionalAllegraI added batteries, wouldn't turn on, tried charging it, wouldn't work. I was only allowed to return in person, but I was unable to do so since I don't live close to an Ikea. disappointing.
Lamp shade doesn't stay in placeNicholeI really wanted to like this little light. It is cute and it does work but the lamp shade constantly falls and there is no way to keep it in place. The screws on the side do not tighten enough to keep it in place. It doesn't work as intended but as long as you're ok with the shade tilting vertical then it is a fine light to have.
Unclear on Operating PowerAndeeThis lamp is designed to run on batteries only. That was really unclear to me despite reading through the paper, and I even tracked down an elusive employee on the floor to help me figure out the cords I needed for this. I thought you could run this on the USB-C cord plugged into the wall, but that's not how it's designed. You have to run it on batteries and recharge the batteries with the cord. And, as others have mentioned, the shade is too loose. I'm keeping it for another month to see if it will work for us, because my kid really liked the design for their room, but I'm annoyed at all the unnecessary parts I bought, and now I still have to buy batteries, too.
Beautiful lamp but not chargeableDianaI bought one before and was able to charge it and it works but the 2 nd one is not chargeable! I use a regular battery and it’s working!
I bought the rechargeable battery and going to put it in and then see if it is chargeable!
The worse case is I can use the regular battery

Flimsy, doesn’t tighten AlicjaIt is a plastic cap, and no matter how much you tighten the screws, it doesn’t keep the lampshade in place, it just falls over. Also, you have to buy AA rechargeable batteries, and have a USB-C cable because it doesn’t come with it.

I made an account just to tell you NOT to buy thisToluWe bought in on a whim while in store because it looked cool - wish I had seen the reviews before purchasing because besides the aesthetic, the product won't operate unless it's connected to a wall charger. I've tried inserting new batteries and it still won't hold a charge unless it's connected to the wall.
Turns off after 5 secAbigailI got this as a reading lamp for my son. It's cute, and I think the light is perfect for a reading light. The shade tips over despite tinkering with it. The big issue is that despite charging and replacing the batteries it turns off after a few seconds and my son starts screaming - "Mommy! You know the lamp doesn't work!" I've missed the return window and keep hoping that if we just charge it one more time somehow it will magically fix itself but so far no dice.
Assembly StruggleAmyI did not realize that assembly was required. The instructions were not clear and I was not successful putting this together. I returned it.

Brand new batteries, and the lamp still turns off after only a few seconds. It’s very very dim as well, and while I enjoy low, comfortable lighting, this barely lights up a two foot radius.

Cute but battery cover won't lastLauraI loved this lamp, especially when combined with the rechargeable batteries, but the battery cover is very flimsy. Eventually the force of the batteries pushing down on the cover will cause it to break off. The only reason mine lasted over a year is because I jerryrigged it but even with added support the battery cover eventually gave away. If they changed the design I would buy another in a heartbeat, otherwise I do not recommend getting this lamp.
