Easy to install, it is a super quick plus and with its shelf system eliminates the need and space required by bedside tables-- compared with bedside tables it is very price competitive. A minimalist design it fulfills its function by providing space for just the essentials.

Hardware not included? StephanieLooks like it's great quality but the hardware on page 4 of assembly weren't in the box. I understand I need to determine what anchor and screws to use in the wall based on my wall but without that page 4 hardware I can't move forward. I couldn't find anywhere on the website to order them using search by word nor number. I'm stuck and it's just leaning against the wall on the ground for now.
Love it but....MaureenI love the style, color, design etc. I wish you could change the location of the shelves, but they have specific spots, and I do not have an IKEA mattress, so my king is a bit bigger and the bed doesnt fit all the way in the middle of the shelves, there is some hangover on the mattress on either side.
Too heavyCaiyunI bought this headboard to match my bed, and the Mandal bed itself is great. However, the headboard is extremely heavy, and I’m concerned that drywall alone may not be able to support its weight. In addition, the installation kit does not include the two critical screws needed to mount it to the wall. For safety reasons, could you please advise what type of screws or anchors should be used to securely install it?
Should not be soldJeffreyThe bracket spacing is no where near standard stud spacing. Meaning you are either mounting this heavy piece of wood above your head with screws (not provided) into drywall or you are making custom brackets to secure it properly to the studs. This is beyond worthless; it is like buying a part for your car that does not have the same spacing for the bolt holes to attach it. IKEA should be ashamed to not only sell this product; but of their quality control staff and engineers for not catching this massive defect. If I could give it zero stars I would.
No Mounting Hardware, Shelves Don't Work For King BedKevinNo Mounting Hardware. I used some two 12" French cleats meant for hanging pictures. You can see them but it's fine with me. The white brackets are also visible which I'm ok with. The shelves do not work with a king size bed unless you're fine with them overhanging onto the actual bed..
It's just ok, not for King size bedsWolfgangThis doesn't include any mounting hardware which feels like a "idk, you figure it out" situation considering the mounting points aren't a multiple of 16" apart for studs. It's 77 3/16
Also, the shelves are forced inward about 6" on each side which makes them unusable for King and California King size beds. Nowhere in the product listing does it explicitly mention this other than it's width which could have been compatible with a King if not for those spacings.
If you don't use the shelving, you're essentially paying $200 for an 8ft wide birch dust trap.
