Impossible to AssembleSeanWe really wanted to make it work because it is so visually appealing. The screws simply aren’t suitable for their task. They are made of such a malleable metal that they strip the moment you try and get them into the pre-drilled holes. Even if I could get it together, I’m not sure that I would trust a paperback on it without it collapsing. It’s not worth frustrating yourself. This one will be going back immediately.

Instructions suck: had to throw away JasmineThe instructions absolutely suck. Nothing is properly labeled and it is difficult to figure out which place faces where.
I ended up accidentally using different screws but then was unable to do it, because once you use the big screws, the little screws don’t fit into the slot.
I tried using other screws and pierced two holes in the shelf. I have put together ikea furniture before, I am not suffering from low intelligence. This shelf is unforgiving.
Assembly is rubbishUgoAssembling is a hassle, and I had a tango trying to figure it out. The screws don’t match the size of the holes. Furthermore, the hinges you need to install don’t come with the instructions or the package. Will be returning. Because it’s so cute I may try it again but I’m not sure if it’s worth it.
Really cute, equally flimsyAmyThe tin screw holders were bent on arrival and broke right off, wood is made of sawdust so won't hold screws, and the fingerprints stick on that red. Had someone try to fix it and it's set up (some packing tape helped), but barely - any bump might cause the entire thing to collapse. Not worth a return. Buyer beware, 2 stars bc it's cute, but a big headache.
Terrible qualityAmyFlimsy, the legs are held on by small aluminum fasteners and one immediately broke during assembly, rendering the shelf completely useless before it was even fully assembled. The wood is dusty and gets scratches and fingerprints easily, like shockingly so. I love IKEA, but guys, do better!

Misleading Assembly InstructionsTatyanaThe very first page of the instructions indicates that no screwdriver is needed, and a screwdriver is not listed among the required tools. Halfway through assembly, it became clear that a screwdriver IS in fact required. What is the point of stating that no screwdriver is needed if that information is incorrect? As a result, the assembly is now left awkwardly half-finished while I have to go out of my way to purchase a screwdriver just for this.

Screws don't fit so it is unstable when assembledJoannaSome of the holes for the long screws are too big, so the screws just pull out. The short screws require a screwdriver, but their holes are too tight and the cheap screws will strip as you try to tighten. I do not live near a store, ordered online. IKEA customer service was wonderful and is sending a replacement. Hopeful it will not be defective.

Much more solid construction than I was expecting for the price. The red brings a great pop of color to my room and doubles as a bed side table. To make sure all screws fit, remember to never fully tighten a screw until you’ve put one in every hole.
So cute!LeimoniI absolutely love this product! I haven't had it for very long just yet, but the quality is fantastic. The color is very vibrant but not overwhelming, the perfect primary. It's very sturdy as well!
