Broke within a few usesEdwardThe handle broke off on maybe the 3rd can we opened with this. Super frustrating, and not worth the hassle to drive back to return. Shocked to see this from an IKEA product.
Very disappointedNedaDid not meet expectations, stopped working after a few months
Waste of Money GlenOn my first try with the KONCIS stainless steel can opener it didn’t even take the lid off completely. Gave it a second try with the same results. JUNK!
Opener works great/priced rightEricGood looking steel opener; works great.
GarbageAliWow what trash. Didn’t even work once. Do not buy this. Dollar store versions are better.
OpenerIramaI’ve bought several of these. Love them. Easy to use
AbysmalKatherineDO NOT BUY. I can't believe I paid over $7 for a can opener that does not work. It does not grip the side of the can. When I did manage to get it to grip, it fell off almost immediately.
Does not workJasonSimilar issue to others the opener will not stay latched to the edge of the can. This may be a quality issue with a recent batch or redesign but don’t bother buying this.
Great Can Opener LindaAfter looking at several varieties of can openers up to $50, I found these simple, basic opener. Very pleased.
Can opener JoanIt doesn’t latch on no matter how hard you try. It cost $7.00 for this can opener, will be returning this. The can opener from the dollar store works great. This survey won’t allow me to exit unless I fill in a star. It’s zero star!!!
Does NOT workChulyoungHow the IKEA cannot make a can opener properly? Does it need the rocket science? This is ridiculous. Try it before sell at least.
Does Not WorkLindseyLike others said, the can opener keeps coming loose - you have to keep squeezing it down in a new place to make a hole. The first time I thought I just had a weird can, or thought it was me, but I dunno, I've been using can openers for like 25 years and this seems pretty bad. My cat was ready to kill me when it took me 10 minutes to open a can of tuna for her. Really bad design. Don't buy.
This is no good no functioning YeseniaI am not using is demage
Can openerMonicaI just tried using my can opener and I am disappointed. You have to squeeze it down for it to work. It came loose and had to start again. So every time you start over; it leaves a gap and makes it harder to open.
Disappointing QualityFatihI bought a can opener from IKEA that was advertised as stainless steel, but after just a few months, it started to rust. I went to IKEA in the Frisco store. Unfortunately, they told me there was nothing they could do and simply threw it away. I was disappointed with the lack of assistance and the quality of the product.
Does the grey piece need to be removed?LaurieThis can opener does not work. I am thinking maybe the grey piece needs to be removed and was put on to protect something. I can't understand why you sell a can opener that does not work!
Does Not work at all.SuvrataBought it just yesterday but it does not work. What a failed design and product.
Not recommended ArianneUnfortunately, did not work at all
So far, it's a great can opener, works very easilyGaryThis can opener is stainless steel (except for the cutting blade) and that's great. It opens cans very easily. If it holds up over time, then it will be perfect, but I'm not worried because with Ikea, I believe we have a year to return items. So far, it's the best manual can opener I've ever had.

What is stainless steel?
Stainless steel is found in everything from building structures and cars to sinks and knives. It’s easy to see why it has so many uses. Stainless steel is hard and durable and has good resistance to corrosion – namely rust. It generally has a low nickel content, and for IKEA products we mainly use stainless steel that’s nickel-free. Like many other metals, it can be recycled again and again to become new, hardwearing items – without losing its valuable properties.
