Love It, but yes issues.ChristineThe good - I really love the look of this Kallax. I feel like I've become a Kallax expert as I've put together 8 of them in the last few months (black & white of all sizes). Visually, this is my favorite one of all of them. I love the rich color, and the symmetrical variation in the shelf arrangement. I bought the black leg frame to put this Kallax on, and it is stunning.
The bad - I had read the reviews regarding the sensitivity of the surface, and was very very careful when assembling, but somehow I still managed to scratch it while assembling it in the same open floor that I assembled 3 the day before. My advice is that you lay out a blanket to assemble it on, because the finish does appear to be incredibly sensitive. Also pay careful attention to the 3 vertical center pieces before you connect them in. They are not all the same.
This said, I still think it is absolutely lovely and I don't regret purchasing it.
Poor quality controlFernandoWe bought it because of the design and color. When we opened the box, one of the panels had problems with the color finish. We went to the store and exchanged for a new one and when we opened the box, we found the same problem… so disappointed, it’s the first time I have such bad experience buying something from IKEA!

A Kallax that holds BluRays!DennisFinally a Kallax that will hold BluRays (confirmed with a visit to my local store). (Still kind of a tight fit - especially with the disc "slipcovers" on - but the standard cases WILL fit. (I never understood the standard shelf design that had shelves about 1/4" too short for DVDs and BluRays. Now - at last - a Kallax good for all media (but waiting for a version in traditional colors.
