Missing Parts and ManualMylinhI am extremely disappointed with this purchase. I opened all four boxes, only to find that not a single one contained the assembly manual, screws, or necessary parts for the shelves. How is that even possible? This has caused a major inconvenience, as I now have unassembled pieces with no way to put them together. The lack of basic components is completely unacceptable—especially for something that requires assembly! Now I have to go through the hassle of contacting support and figuring out how to get the missing parts. I expected better quality control. This was a frustrating and time-consuming experience, and I hope this is not a frequent occurrence with this product as I do not wish other customers encounter the same situation.

Defective UnitKarenI ordered this unit and the holes are not drilled deep enough so the dowels do not fully insert and the pieces will not sit flush. I had a replacement delivered and had the same problem. IKEA should stop selling this product until production issues can be resolved.

WORST IKEA PRODUCT and impossible to returnNadiiaIt's extremely unstable unit with misaligned holes. It has diagonal side movement and will surely fall apart if you put anything heavy on it. You can google Kallax Unit Failure. It is NOT stable at all. Wobbly, moving. It's garbage. I contacted IKEA about return options and basically it's impossible to return unless you own a huge track or will pay them hefty price for a pick up. It's nonsense, they sell non-functioning furniture items and wont let you return it without sustaining a huge financial loss, time loss, and a lot of hustle. Quality is 0/100.

My favorite storageFrancesI downsized from a large home to an apartment. My primary concern was adequate storage. The previous occupant had removed a large closet. Instead of rebuilding the closet, I opted to use a 5 x 5 kallax unit. I originally put cardboard bankers boxes in the sections. The I ordered sturdy baskets for the bottom row for toys for the grand kids. Happy with the awesome and good looking unit. The black/brown color had led me to use mostly black and white in this room. Would highly recommend this shelving.

Perfect for Books / Room DividerCherylThis item worked perfect for what was once a dance fllor. Created a office and since I had co many books it created the privacy needed for meetings. No issues putting it together. I had to pay for the shipping over $100. since I did do not have an Ikea anywhere close.
Easy to build, Sturdy, Perfect room divider.ChristyThis unit was so easy to build, I put it together myself in about 30 minutes. The pegs all fit perfect and the screws for the outer pieces went together seamlessly to built a room divider. I purchased some of the Drona bins and the Kallax swing door cabinet inserts and they were even easy to install and work perfect. Overall I would give it 10 stars if I could. The price point, ease of assembly and finished product are perfect!!!
What happened to the ExpeditTracyThis was AWFUL to put together and I swapped out the first one to try another thinking maybe it was just one bad unit. No! The pegs do NOT go inside the holes enough or the holes need to be drilled in more but I have separation with some of the shelves. I literally broke down and cried because I was so frustrated. I have to pay for delivery but I’ve put many Expedit shelves together in the past with no issue. This is just bad., I’m going to keep it because I have no choice. It’s the look I need but if I can’t get it bolted properly to the wall, one small tremor in California and this mess is going to fall over. And if I move I’m afraid it will come apart during the move and this thing is $200! I don’t know. As I type this I’m thinking of taking it down and returning it. This is my 3rd item return to ikea. Klippan leather sofa is cheap! Go back to real materials please.
