Great shelvesKathleenWe have multiple units in this style! 2 cube, 4 cube. Needed a 6 which does not exist so we got a 4 and a 2 unit. Great size for books or little storage cubes can fit. I have one even from years ago that is still hanging in there and working just fine.

Works greatYezlieYou can’t go wrong with these from ikea. No complaints. Easy to build. I built it alone. Looks like what I intended to purchase. I found a more helpful video online that starts on one side of the longer boards and you work your way down in case that’s easier for some of you. Nonetheless follow the instructions and you’ll get the same results.
Works great for a vinyl record shelf.JonathanI bought this to store some of my 5,000 dance music vinyl record collection. I have two of these stood up vertically, a 2x8 cube situated horizontally, and a 4x4 cube on a back wall. On top of these and the 2x4 cube shelf, I have my turntables and mixer. It works perfectly. It doesn't wobble, move, or torque. Surprised how durable they are considering it's a shelving unit made of pressed cardboard.

Screws visible on top of unitLynneI think it's important to note that there are screws visible on the top of this unit. So if you are planning on using it as a nightstand, there are giant holes and silver screws visible on the top. This is a different design from the 2x4 Kallax model which I already had and had bought this unit to match. The 2x4 Kallax has a much smoother aesthetic on top. It's a little disappointing but too much of a hassle to return. I mean, at least the tops of the screws could have been painted white??
