The sofa have a soft comfort with high-resilience foam and pocket springs that follow your body and provide support – whether you are sitting, lying down or hanging out on the sofa.
Reversible back cushions provide soft support for your back and two different sides to wear. Thanks to the combination of polyester fibers and foam the cushions will retain their shape and comfort year after year.
This cover is made of Gransel, a fabric with elements of linen and viscose that add a slight luster. The threads in different sizes create a natural, vibrant expression.
The cover is easy to keep clean since it is removable and can be machine washed.
A range of coordinated covers makes it easy for you to give your furniture a new look.

Perfect Comfy SectionalEnjoliAfter having the Ektorp couch and love seat for 8 years I’ve been searching for the past 4 years for the perfect sectional. This sectional exceeded my expectations! I got the neutral color. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Took my son like 30 min to put together and another 20 to put on the covers. Covers washed up amazing. Very very pleased with how comfortable and well made this sectional is. My teenage boys absolutely love it. I highly recommend it. Especially with a bigger family and kids. I also purchased the green covers to switch out. I purchased in store but purchased the green covers online and had a great experience with both purchases.
Very comfortableLuisAfter having an Ektorp couch for 14 years, we finally upgraded to the HYLTARP. It was not hard to put together. The cover was a little tricky and took a bit of time figuring out the directions. The cushion covers are smaller than the cushions (different from the Ektorp) but once figuring that out, they were pretty easy to match up and put together. I am not as thrilled with the durability of the Gransel natural. Already in a few months, there are a few places where the fabric has pulled. If purchasing again, I would probably go for something more durable and canvas like in texture. This is softer and more flexible but more delicate. It is very roomy and so comfortable though.
Very UncomfortableLaurenI ordered the Hyltarp sectional after being very happy with the 3-seat Hyltarp sofa. The 3-seat sofa is very cozy and the cushion is very comfortable. After reading the reviews about the sectional, I assumed this was the same sofa, just larger. It is not. I is so firm and uncomfortable, I will probably return it. I wish I knew this before going through the hassle of having it delivered and assembled.
Fabric Quality Issues and Persistent OdorNihanI have been using this sofa for about a year and half. Around six months after I started using it, the fabric began to pill, and since then I have had to regularly remove the fabric fuzz. Over time, the fabric stretched and lost its shape. The fabric on the cushions no longer sits properly; despite ironing and washing the covers many times, it still looks wrinkled, bunches up, and feels loose on the cushions.
There is also a strong, persistent odor. Since I have washed all the covers multiple times and the smell remains, I believe the issue comes from the cushions themselves rather than the covers. Experiencing these problems in such a short time is very disappointing.
Bigger than expected VirginiaI bought this to replace the discontinued Ektorp sectional that I had for over 10 years. I needed replacement covers and cushions but ikea doesn’t sell them. Anyway the Hyltarp is massive compared to the Ektorp. I wish I had measured beforehand. It fits in my room but it’s just so much bigger. I call it the blue monster. So that’s something to consider when buying this. Otherwise I like the bench seat cushions.

Great sectional sofaGabrielaI'm loving this sectional! It has a really elegant and clean look that's super aesthetic. The fabric felt a little rough initially, but it softened up nicely after the first wash. The cushions were initially firm, but they broke in perfectly after just a few days. I highly recommend this sofa.

Unbeatable valueEvaI exhaustively searched for a sofa with many specs: narrow corner entryway, cleanable, and tall enough legs to clean underneath. I couldn't stomach the cost of my dream leather sofa (~$12k) and didn't want to spend $7k on something I really didn't want.
I settled on the corner Hyltarp in Tallmyra Blue and couldn't be happier, especially with the sale price. It took 4 hours to assemble and clean up. It is very firm and has decent dimensions (many internet sofas are miniature). The fabric is soft and the blue color is slightly dustier in person, but beautiful. It catches dog hair, but you can't see it (black Newfoundland dog). I'm purchasing a spare slipcover so we can easily switch out when it gets soiled. The total is half the price of slightly higher quality competitors. I was able to fit waterproof mattress protectors under the slipcovers on the seats.
Is it the best quality? No, but it will last me until I can afford that fabulous high end sofa, and then can go to the man cave.

Best couch! EmmaI’ve only had hand-me-down over the years so this was an important purchase for us after buying our first house. With two dogs, it was important to find a couch that could fit everyone and was easy to clean.
We have the blue slipcover and it’s not itchy. It’s coated so drinks don’t absorb and dirt can be wiped off. Covers come off and go back on with ease (that was always an issue with our old couch).
I’m thinking of getting a slipcover in a different color to switch it up. So many fun options.
We love the size! It comfortably fits 6 people sitting and my partner and I are both able to lay down each side. I couldn’t recommend it more for the price point.
Discoloration over timeHarperMy dad purchased this couch for our apartment about 5 years ago. We got it in white so we do not go anywhere near it with food/drinks that can stain.
All over the couch, tan spots have been appearing. We’ve washed the couch, baking soda. All of it. It’s a small apartment so we don’t usually host people, I don’t spray tan, I drink my coffee in the kitchen. He doesn’t drink coffee at all.
We’ve gone on reddit and apparently this happens often with Ikea fabric.
This is so annoying, my couch looks disgusting.
Poor quality construction, cushions and fabricAmandaWould return if it was not such a major inconvenience. Backs of corner section do not line up with sides and the fabric is scratchy textured and super thin. Description says extra soft, but the bottom cushions are extra hard foam. Not comfortable at all. Comes in 5 huge boxes and limited assembly instructions.
Sturdy and comfyRebeccaLove the color, seems well built. The corner cushion seat sits lower than the other two. Fabric isn’t pet friendly at all. My cats claws get stuck in it. And it’s a bit scratchy.
The bestLisaWe have the hyltarp sectional in the tallmyra blue color and it is THE BEST couch we've ever had. It's so comfy, my husband basically falls asleep on it every night, and is easy to clean if something spills. Highly recommend.
very happyMThe delivery service for Ikea was great. It arrived on time and it was easy to assemble. The cover is well made and went on easily. I looked everywhere for a couch like this one and found this last minute. To buy a new cover is a little expensive but the quality of frame, cushion etc seems well within cost vs value ratio.
