Beautiful Piece! Tricky to Install.StevenI love this tri-pendant, it is a beautiful lighting piece in my home and puts a great finishing touch on my dining nook.
Sadly like most IKEA fixtures it's not very install friendly especially in American homes. My ceiling junction box is a pancake type anchored into a concrete ceiling so it sits proud of the ceiling. Installing this fixture per the manual was impossible - the "access door" plate doesn't want to lay flat and leaves no room for the wiring/nuts in a pancake box.
Trick that worked for me was to separate the crossbar piece (which is really all you need) from the round plate, which I didn't use. Screw the bar directly to your junction box and then hang the fixture. If it sits crooked, add window shims (get them at home depot) to one side until it sits flat. It may not be right against the ceiling but if it's flat you won't notice from ground level.4
Horrible Installation DesignBradI’m returning this light after spending several hours trying to get it installed. The installation is poorly designed for American ceiling junction boxes. It’s too big and if you screw in one side, you can’t screw in the other side properly. Plus the written instructions are garbage and need English words to help. Really disappointing. I’ve had many other IKEA light fixtures over the years, but this one is the worst. Also, the bulbs were hard to find and very small. I read other reviews that said it puts out so little light, so that made me give up on trying to install it. 1

Beautiful chandelier LouiseI absolutely adore the way this chandelier looks, and it is perfect for the room (dining room) and the rest of my furniture. The only downside is that it puts out very little light. I'm going to see if I can get some higher-wattage bulbs. These bulbs are good if you prefer romantic mood lighting. 4

Glass breaks no replacementRogerInstallation was super easy. Used the recommended bulbs (even lower wattage). 2 of the glass covers came crashing down. Now I can't find replacements. Super weird. Not sure if anyone else had this issue but man it was nuts hearing them pop.2
Not bright enoughLeslieLove how this looks but it's very dim. It's not rated to take bulbs that are bright enough. Sad because I love the lamp but we put it in a stairwell and it's nearly like having no light at all. :(2

Love it! But expect it to be dimPatrickJust installed this a few days ago and I am a big fan. Install was very easy and took about an hour including removal of the old fixture. The lamp is rather dim, I wouldn't get this if you needed a lot of light. The low light does add a "nice italian restaurant" vibe while sitting at our dining room table that I really like. Our Ikea was out of the corresponding light bulbs but I was able to find equivalent bulbs at home depot.5

Hogvind Hanging Pendant LightLoriannI purchased this for over my kitchen table and love it. There is one issue though that anyone purchasing this needs to know. This does not work well with an angled ceiling without finding a way to fill the gaps that are there after it is hung. The silver plate shows gaps when hung from an angled ceiling. Great product though.4
