Does not fit older Billy modelMearaI bought these to jazz up an older much loved Billy bookshelf in order to use what I had instead of wasting money on a replacement bookshelf /storage unit with doors.
Unfortunately, it does not work. The overall dimensions are correct but the placement of the hardware on the doors does not line up with holes in the bookshelf where the accompanying bookshelf side hardware could be placed.
Nowhere in the description does it say that it will only work with certain year models of Billy. I'm not sure how old my Billy is, maybe 15 years old, but it is still in good condition and I had no reason to suspect that it would not fit.
I drove 2 hours each way to the nearest ikea to pick these up. It seems both my time and money were wasted.

Great looking alternate to the very wonderful, full-length, glass Oxberg Billy doors (which I have already installed many times in other rooms, other homes). The Hogadal door, with its natural fiber panels, are light, neutral, bright, and upbeat. Maybe best of all is that they will hide out of sight essentials for office, living room, hallway, bedroom, even kitchen... Other than the Oxberg solid half-height door, other Billy doors do not do that.
