Huge sticky pitch patch inside drawer. MarkWe have purchased 3 other Hemnes identical nightstands and wanted another one for son's bedroom. Just put together the nightstand, and as usual the instructions were somewhat vague. Hubby can figure it out, but a couple fasteners would not go in straight. But, the worst part is there is a huge 6 inch by 2 inch patch of pitch that will be on the inside of the drawer. The only way I can think of fixing the problem is to paint over the patch with sealer paint. Returning the product would take at least 2+ hours out of my day. POOR QUALITY INSPECTION.
Horrible SharonI have the entire bedroom collection and the quality is horrible. Within weeks of owning the nightstands began chipping paint off and have horrible long lines on them. Both nightstand tops did this and look terrible after only owning for a few months. Originally, the set was gorgeous when we finally finished putting everything together. We spent over $2,000, we have nine pieces in our bedroom and everything is doing this. Ikea will not back up there product if it is after a certain date and you do not have the original receipt. I highly recommend you go elsewhere with your hard earned money. Ikea has raised their prices but lowered the quality of their products.

Disappointed AlisonI’ve had HEMNES furniture in my apartment, the newer pieces are NOT the same, just under a year and the top is chipping away, long ugly lines. Funny how the product is cheapened in manufacturing but the price is the same i would add a picture but don’t see that option. IKEA isn’t the same, what a shame
Not the sameMarcyWe are extremely disappointed in this product. We have the white Hemnes dresser and they don’t match at all. The dresser has a smooth shiny finish. The nightstands are missing that smooth shiny finish. (It’s almost like they just forgot to put the finishing touches on the product, will be a nightmare to take care of) The whites don’t even come close to being the same. I would return but my husband took hours to put them together. I’m so disappointed. Won’t be buying anything else from ikea. So disappointed!

Great productJuliaJust what we needed... a great product and nice and sturdy too. A little painful to put together, but now they are built, we are really happy with them.
Quality has gone downXiaoningI have assembled a set of these night stands before and they were great. But I recently bought a pair of them that were not possible get the screws in on one of the legs. I even drove back to the store to get new screws but they still wouldn’t work. This piece of wood seems a lot harder and heavier than the other legs. IKEA is using different manufacturers now. I don’t know which one I run into. Very disappointed. Returned both.
Looks great but almost impossible to assemble CourtneyI love the look of these nightstands, but I spent over half an hour on nearly every single screw trying to get it assembled. Idk if the factory isn’t creating the holes wide enough or what, but almost every screw stops halfway in. I’ve bruised my palms forcing it to work with both manual and battery powered screwdrivers (and as a renter, I don’t own a drill to try to fix it myself). So they look great when done, but never have I had such a hard time with an ikea piece. And we all know that’s saying something.
