Difficult to assembleLauraI bought four of these chairs and all were the same. VERY difficult to assemble. I needed extra tools that weren’t provided in the kit and the joins were all extremely hard on my hands to screw together and there were four screws that didn’t even have pre-drilled holes and those were impossible to put in very well. I would return these chairs if I wasn’t in need of putting them into my rental before my guests arrive. I would not recommend buying these. Not worth the effort. I’ve built other IKEA furniture before and never had so much difficulty.2
Great chairElliotComfy and well made. High quality wood and fairly easy to put together. I like where the wood sits on my back. I bought a cushion for the chair, but if I didn't need to sit for very long hours at a time (I work from home), I would sit in it as is5

Good, but…SalimMy review of this chair: The chair is sturdy and attractive, but the white paint job is very unprofessional. Wood typically needs proper sanding before painting, but on this chair the sanding was done very poorly.3

Would Purchase Chair Again - requires more tools to assembleKimberlyI like the chair and would buy more. It requires pliers for proper assembly. There are four pieces that insert into the frame to support the seat. You cannot screw them in or bang them in. Here's what worked for me. Turn the piece so the open side is closest to the edge of the wood. Use pliers to squeeze the piece in BUT put something between the wood and pliers to prevent damage to finish. It worked great! I have weak hand so had to push the bottom of the pliers agains the floor to make them shut but, mission accomplished. Later, when screwing that piece to the base, hammer a bigger nail or screw in to "pre-drill" a hole for the screw. Also, screwing in the final support bar is shown being done with the chair upside down. That is a difficult angle from which to get leverage. I put the chair on its side and put a lamp on it to help me see well enough to align the two screw holes. I hope these ideas help!.5
Profound Disappointment Anonymous reviewerTo my utter shock, there was no assembly hardware included. I was left useless pieces now placed against my furniture. I did contact customer service and that hardware will be mailed to me. For the future, a detailed list of items needs to be physically counted before it is shipped. Otherwise, your reputation will be diminished further. 2
