Great DresserEmilieI had the Hemnes years ago and loved it, albeit difficult to put together. Decided on this one since it seemed sturdier and had more capacity. It’s not difficult to put together— I got it done myself during an afternoon baseball game. Organize all of your pieces and set yourself up for success. Be patient, read twice, screw once.

Why I hate this dresser - it is NOT as advertised. The drawers are extremely loud and are not soft closed. Do not waste your time and money. Instructions are fine idk why everyone is freaking out about them.
The real problem is that this is a terrible furniture piece and you would be better off buying the HEMNES or Stormolla. I am deeply disappointed with all 8 drawers as they don’t even close properly and YEAH I did put it together properly. Now I have to decide if I should waste more of my life taking it apart and having them pick it up or suffering with my consequences of cheating out and not getting the nicer one.
This is not my first rodeo with IKEA so I thought the quality would be decent but no!!! Stay away
Very Poor InstructionsMichelleThe provided instructions are severely lacking direction. Labeling pieces would be very beneficial. The dresser itself, once assembled, is nice. Requires 2 people to assemble.
Good tall and big dresser, especially for the priceYaelWe wanted to get rid of two smaller dressers, and the dimensions of this made sense for us. It has a lot of space. The only downsides: it took forever to assemble, and it is VERY heavy. It is a two-person job (and still very heavy to move).
Great product/frustrating instructionsSusanThis dresser is very solid. It went above my expectations. It looks great in the space I purchased it for. However, the assembly instructions are frustrating. The drawings of parts are not large enough to see some of the most important details. There are no written directions to aid in confirming those details. This caused lots of frustration and lots of additional time to complete the assembly. I had to find a You Tube tutorial to it figure out.
bad designZackterrible instruction manual. the image is always flipped. step 13 has the metal rod zoomed in facing downward and in the regular image and each after it is down.
Good Size & SturdyPamelaFabulous dresser. It is a great size and is very sturdy. I hired Task Rabbit to put it together and he did it with ease and was done quickly. I changed the knobs to make the dresser look even more upscale. Love it.
VERY VERY sturdyRomeoI bought this thing for my vacation home, and let me tell you, it is HEAVY and STURDY.
Buyer beware, it isn't something you will put together in 20-30 minutes. This will take a while. But, what you get is a very nice dresser, with a lot of drawers, and it is incredibly sturdy.
Well worth the money, in my opinion.
Instructions are beyond poorMarcyWe have built IKEA furniture many times without issue but THIS item and the instructions would have been described as laughable if not for the frustratingly 2 day assembly of this dresser. We even called the support line & they couldn’t determine the problem either - based on referencing the same instructions. For example, we built another piece of furniture (NOT IKEA) & it went smoothly, so we don’t feel it was user error. The illustrations that accompanied the instructions were so poor and so small (you will need a magnifying glass to see them) - it took two of us - literally - to “translate” the instructions. They may as well have been in Russian. We feel IKEA should be paying US for assembly or give us a new one, fully assembled that is safer. We’re STILL not done with the assembly but had to walk away from it before using it for firewood! IKEA officers should spend a day (or 2) days assembling this item- without any help - they will agree, the instructions need a major re-do.

Flaws within manuel and missing partsEmilyWe purchased this dresser, my engineering professor husband went to put it together and discovered multiple fundamental engineering flaws within the manual design and the parts kit. I thought the other people writing reviews on how difficult it was to put together were just being dramatic but that isn’t the case. We also had hardware missing. Sadly this dresser is foundational flawed - I’m not sure how it passed any inspections during the design process. I’m assuming anyone who has successfully put this dresser together had to use their own parts and fixes that weren’t included in the instructions to function properly. *DO NOT BUY*

Beautiful dresserLizbethI changed out the knobs and it elevated the look so much. Love this dresser, easy to build but you have to be careful to not scratch the finishing, and very sturdy. The drawers are deep and wide and hold plenty of stuff. 10/10
CuteClaudiaLove the dresser. Yes, instructions are a bit hard to understand but ones you get it its a piece of cake. I like to build, so to say this project took me about 5.5 hrs.
I had mine delivered and he was amazing in setting everything down perfect.

Want to shed some light on this piece!AmandaWhen we bought this piece for our baby boys nursery i was so hesitant due to the reviews on assembly. I am here to say while I understand others have had difficulty during assembly my husband was able to completely assemble this within four hours while watching anime with no frustrations or problems so it is possible! We absolutely love this dresser :)
Sturdy dresserGabrielleBought this dresser for my new apartment and loved the model in store. However, it’s very difficult to put together. The instructions aren’t very clear and it took a lot of trial and error. I usually love assembling ikea furniture but this was probably the worst thing I’ve put together over the years of getting stuff from ikea. All that being said, it’s a good dresser for its price point. Just recommend giving yourself a couple days to put together even with someone helping you.
