Needs better quality controlMadelineThis is the second time I have purchased this chair and needs to return again and buy another one.
The first chair had a blemish on the edge of the seat so I had to return it. Now the second chair has an issue with the cut in the wood. There are these “pockets” at the base of the seat where the legs sit and screw in. One of the pocket was not cut correctly, it was too shallow and not wide enough. This causes one of the legs to be uneven by 1 inch. Now the chair wabbles.
The quality control of this product needs to be better. In the past that’s what we found frustrating with IKEA product so stopped purchasing from there. However in the recent years they seemed to have step up a bit and their designs are better so we have purchased a few items and have been happy with them. This is the only product so far that’s giving me a lot of trouble.
I am not close to IKEA so it’s trouble some to keep going there to return. 3

Great Accent ChairJordanI have two of these in the no longer available red and black color ways. The black finish works perfectly in a makeshift game room/office I setup at a vacation property and the red works as a spare chair in my home game room/office. If these were ever offered in a walnut finish...it'd break the website. Comfy and very stylish, if you need a small footprint chair which elevates your space while giving a minimal look, go for it.5
So close but comes up shortMollyI love everything about this chair, except it’s way too short. My IKEA didn’t have one on the showroom floor to try, so I didn’t realize the seat height is only 15”; the ideal seat height is between 17-18” for accessibility, average height, knee angle, etc. I’m a shorty and it’s a noticeably awkward drop for me. I’m trying some sneaky riser options because it’s otherwise a gorgeous, comfortable, sleek chair. I’m just really surprised and disappointed the designers missed the mark on basic ergonomics here.3
