Very difficult to assemble JimThe sofa itself is great but the instructions were horrible. The biggest issues was attaching the side arms to the base. The instructions were minimal and I even looked online and in the app for further directions and there were just the same as the ones enclosed in the package.

Timeless, classic, modern sofaHeatherI wanted something with clean lines that wouldn't fall out of style next year. Finnala fits the bill. It's one of the higher quality sofas available at IKEA and the Talmyra covers are great, quality wise. I bought an extra set of covers in case IKEA decides to discontinue it or change the shape of the sofa, as they have unfortunately done with so many models in the past. (Making it impossible to get covers that fit the sofa some years down the line just when you'll actually need them.)
Finnala is a long sofa so be sure you have the space for it.

The sofa was delivered inPeterThe sofa was delivered in several boxes with the bolts and the simple wrench required to assemble it. The hardest part of assembly was to pull the fabric smoothly over the portions that needed to be covered. But even this wasn't too difficult, and it will allow the fabric to be removed or replaced in the future.

Looks & Fits PerfectlyDorisAfter searching for slipcovers to fit my ikea vimle sofa I found quite a few blogs saying what was previously called the Vimle line from ikea was renamed Finnala. I took a chance and ordered it. Sure enough it fit perfectly.

As expectedJoyceIt took a hot minute to figure out the different parts. But we’re an IKEA family so it was a breeze putting it together once we identified all the pieces. Comfortable and just the right size for the tv room. Seat cushion covers are a little loose even after a few months of use. It may snug your after a wash.
