Epitome of engineer thinkingWesleyThese feels like something designed by an engineer who has never assembled or fixed anything on their own. Swapping the ring and pinon gear on my Jeep was easier than assembling this atrocity. When assembled it's weak and barely stable.1
Very poor designAnonymous reviewerI brought this product a month ago, and i really wish i had read the reviews prior to my purchase because I see I'm having the same issues other people are having the system has a ball joint at the bottom of the pole but not on the top witch makes it impossible for the unit to be totally stable. I'm beyond disappointed with this product and plan to return it. IKEA had a product prior to this one that i purchased a few years ago that i absolutely love in fact it has the ball joint on the top and bottom of the system and if i stalled correctly its the best. When i found this new system i was disappointed that IKEA would change a already great product. IKEA DROPPED THE BALL JOINT ON THIS ONE....... DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT1
Fails to work on slanted ceilingsAnonymous reviewerI really wish I read the other review on here before buying as it is about the same problem. Our closet has a slightly slanted ceiling and this unit (specifically the post) does not support that. What’s funny, is that the stand on the bottom is on a ball joint which would be ideal for the top... so I guess this can support slanted floors lol.1
Good shoe rack. Terrible to assembleAnonymous reviewer2 big problems. Most of you will only deal with One. Main problem Part number 147075 is painted with a thick paint inside the threads for the screws (148288) making it virtually impossible to assemble correctly. Some times the paint causes cross threading. Disaster. Second problem. If you have a slanted ceiling (Like I do) the upper mount is flat. But the bottom mount has a ball and socket mount which can tilt. Dumb. This is totally backwards. The ball and socket mount should be at the top for slanted ceilings. The fixed flat mount should be at the bottom. We all know all floors are flat. This should be looked into and reengineered.2
