Product details

This drop-leaf table seats 2-4. It is a good option for small spaces as the size can be adjusted easily, according to need.

You can simply adjust the length to make space for all types of activities like homework, drawing or playing games with the kids.

Every table is unique, with varying grain pattern and natural color shifts that are part of the charm of wood.

The table top has a hardwood veneer top layer that is both stained and lacquered for durability and to allow the natural wooden texture to shine through.

The tubular steel table legs offer strength and durability with the look of traditionally crafted, turned wood.

The table coordinates beautifully with DANDERYD chair and bench.

Very heavy and sturdyNicoleThe wood is very nice5
Great feel, easy to assembleJasmine S.The table legs are really sturdy and well constructed in metal, and the table came together very easily. Table top is smooth and legitimately great looking, and feels nice.5
Sturdy TableKATHLEENThis table is surprisingly sturdy. We needed a drop leaf style for the space we were filling. The drop leaf function comes in handy and is versatile. We knew the legs would be metal which is a bit weird but it’s not very obvious. The table so far is very sturdy and attractive.5
Difficult hinge attachmentAlbert L.Good looks, but I had major difficulty with attaching the hinges. The screws will strip if they go in even a few degrees off, which I could not consistently avoid.3
Not what I expectedIanThe table has metal legs. I thought they would be wood when I saw the table in Ikea. I don't know why they are metal. I will keep the table, but would have preferred wooden legs.4

Designer thoughts

Designer thoughts

“I was challenged to design a product with a new production technique using steel instead of wood. Inspired by traditional-style tables, I came up with a design that had a crafted look, but could also appeal to those who prefer a simpler expression. Thanks to clever technology, we were able to make tubular steel legs that look like turned wooden legs. Strong and stable and with soft rounded shapes. I hope that DANDERYD table will bring warmth into many people’s homes.”
