Flimsy with no instructions AlbaThis is a combination that doesn't come with instructions to combine. You have to just figure it out and it's NOT easy. In fact, it's not worth trying because as you try, pieces get bent and becomes junk. Waste of money 1
No instructions for the item pu chasedDonnaAlthough there were instructions for the book shelf and the cabinet, there was nothing for the actual item we purchased! Thankful my husband is a master at building all things IKEA. It did take longer then necessary.4
Looks good but ...EricaThe instructions were vague, parts don’t go together as described in the pictures. Following 2 separate instructions books was not ideal to get the pieces put together. It was like missing part of a movie then never know what’s going on. The brackets that hold the cabinet bent and then I decided to make my own modifications to keep everything together and sturdy. Looks good but I would not recommend.3
BROR Cabinet & Shelf Needs InstructionsMichaelI like my BROR Cabinet with top shelf; however, building it is another story. There are no separate instructions for building it. You are given separate instructions that come with the cabinet package and some with the posts. You also are not given screws and nuts to lock down the top shelf brackets. I had to make a return trip to the Ikea store to have them order some. I built my unit from having to look at the picture on the Ikea website and guessed the order of assembly. It feels a lot more stable now that there are items in the cabinet. If you are used to buidling Ikea furniture, you’ll figure it out but make sure you get the extra screws and nuts from the store before you leave (if they will give them to you) . Otherwise, plan on returning with your receipt, printout of the photo from the Ikea website and the two sets of instructions you were given.3
Wrong instructionsAnonymous reviewerI'm currently trying to assemble this right now. The instructions provided do not include this configeration. They also come with a lot of extra parts so that adds to the confusion. I'm currently looking at the product image to try to figure this out myself.1
Nice unit bad directionsDeborahI bought this for my sons room. Looks great and does the job of extra storage. I’ve put a lot of Ikea furniture together and yes the directions are never the best, but this particular unit did not come with all the proper directions. The cabinet came with the proper directions but when you get to trying to assemble the cabinet into its frame there are NO directions for that specifically. Thankfully I had a picture of it and I assembled the rest by looking at the pic over and over and over. The top shelf is quite flimsy as well. If you were to be using this in the garage for tools not quite sure it would hold up.4
