Great bookcase except for the awful ODOR.AmyStraightforward Ikea build, nice bookshelf/storage unit, reasonably priced.
HOWEVER... The chemical off-gassing has been horrible! Ikea furniture made of manufactured wood generally has an odor, but this piece has by far been the worst by several magnitudes. Almost intolerable to be in the same room with it, took weeks to dissipate. Minus one star for that alone.
Looks nice, but missing hadware JoelIt looks nice, and seems to be sturday knce you anchor the top to the wall. But beware, you will need to have the screws that are missing from the pack. The handle screws were missing from mine.

LOVE LOVE LOVE these book cases!LindaI used the online video for assembling. These were crazy easy to put together and I used a screwdriver! They are tall and have great storage capacity. I purchased some bins online and they fit perfectly. I was considering purchasing similar pieces through California Closets but after reading customer reviews and recommendations on sites like reddit, I thought I'd give Ikea a try. Their prices are amazing and the quality is outstanding. These are not light weight either. I just LIVE them. Wish I could post pics!
Not Worth ItHuiThe price is pretty high for a typical IKEA quality bookcase (same goes to other variations of this BRIMNES brand, I bought 5 cases of different variations but I'm just gonna comment once here).
The package design is trash, I literally have to destroy the box to open it, making it impossible to return with scratches and cracks on some boards as usual.
Missing one or two screws (for wall fixture) and no spare parts, looks like IKEA is overconfident in itself.
The finished look is decent and meets my expectation, so I give 3 stars despite above reasons.
Good sturdy bookcase MiaIt fits perfectly into a small bedroom. Little things all off the floor. I can finally see my boy’s bedroom floor. ^^

What is particleboard?
Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded.
