Blade was bent. Steel is too soft.ArturI bought the whole set. the blade on the 6" knife was bent. It wasn't straight. I was able to bend it and straighten it. The steel is soft. The edge which is VG10 is probably hard but the fact that a knife like this can bend so easily is not good. I think these knives are poor quality. They look nice but the laminated steel is just too soft. I also think the wood handles are a little too thick. I do NOT recommend these knives.
Worked to cut kabocha squash!OmorI purchased this knife primarily to cut through hard winter squash, and it does the job well. However, when chopping softer items like onions, it easily leaves cut marks on my cutting board, so I have to use it gently. I've only had it for a few months, so I can't speak to its long-term durability yet
