Very useful for various things, the locking mechanism can be finickyMargaretI use these rods around the house for various things. If you can get them locked exactly right, they're great. I have one in my bathroom I use for hanging clothes to dry and it has never so much as budged no matter how many wet clothing items or towels I hang from it, but the one I use in my entryway to curtain it off in the winter to help with my heating bills occasionally will unlock itself or come loose when I am opening/closing the curtain. I would recommend buying one, trying it out, and exchanging it if it has issues, as they can be hit or miss. Also, they do work better if you clean your walls/tile first before installing it.4
