The design itself is clever, especially the way the rail attaches to the underside of the shelf. The mechanism feels well thought out and secure, and installation was straightforward. In a different layout, this would be a very effective use of space.
For now, it’s been taken out, but it’s absolutely something I’d use in a future setup. It’s a smart, flexible component that will shine in the right configuration.

Not Up to Ikea StandardsEvaa.Not happy with this system. I have the Algot system in 3 closets of my house and after 8 years have never had an issue. I wanted to add a hanging rod to the existing Algot system and was very sad to find out it was discontinued. The Boaxel system is a cheap replacement. I thought that the moment I unpacked the pieces. The little clip that holds the rod in place broke and the whole rod and shelf came down after a few days. This system is only good for light weight or children's clothing. Very disappointing.

Huge Downgrade from AlgotGeoffreyVery sad and disappointed to see the Algot system replaced with this. Obviously a race to the bottom as far as cost and durability on the part of IKEA.
Fantastic closet systemStephenI have redone several closets using this system and love how interchangeable everything is. Simple to install, although I do recommend you watching the video first. Once you understand it, it’s very easy to use, extremely sturdy. Very happy with this purchase.
Excellent shelving system YoramExcellent for creating a corner in the shelving system, something that is difficult to achieve with a boxed product. That was the reason I chose this product. I also like the option of the metal shelves, which are half the weight of the wooden shelves, big advantage for wall mounted unit.

She did not have much room for a dresser so I needed plenty of drawer space while still leaving room for her to hang clothes up.
