Install is a huge painChristopherThe mounting brackets came crushed on my unit. I could not get it to go into the pins of the wall even thought everything looked like it lined up. I had to take a combo wrench and pull both the pins and holes on the wall out.
Then when I thought I was done, the pull hardware had only 1/4 parts screw in properly. I am sure my local store will help with new pull hardware, but this was ridiculous. This was harder than framing real cabinets.
Great way to add storageDenisI got this cabinet with the IKEA Mitzzon electric desk, and it’s a nice addition that matches the oak color scheme well. It’s spacious, hides stuff I don’t want out, and the glass cabinets are great for showing off something cool.
The storage is 2 + 2 + 2 wide, not 2 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 like the wooden doors suggest. Those doors are neat, sliding on rails and elbowing out in a V shape with a soft-close feature. The glass doors, though, don’t close softly, which is odd.
Assembly is easy, but for hanging it on the wall you MUST have two people. The metal bar you hook it onto is three pieces held by metal brackets, and the sides sag if you only hold the middle.
I used a self-leveling laser to line up the mount and center the holes for a clean install. I was surprised it didn’t come with wall mounting screws or drywall anchors. I had a case from other projects, but still, that’s a miss. So make sure you swing by Home Depot.
Overall, it's great quality, and looks nice.
