Updating my reviewEstherI left an earlier review saying that I wasn't able to pair a large with a small drawer. Turns out I had installed the drawer correctly when I moved it down a notch--- it's just that the default distance has the drawers overlapped. You just have to twist the rotating levers underneath the drawers to adjust them. If you have small fingers, it will take some effort.
I think I was at my wits end when I wrote the last review.
I suspect that the instructions might have left out how many holes you count up if you have drawers of 2 different sizes---- if you have a small drawer over a large drawer, try going one notch down from what the instructions say for the large drawers.
It does look nice at the end! I hope this review saves someone else out there from having to install and also rebuild these drawers 8 times. This was so painful and it really didn't have to be.
Don't pair a large with a small drawer --- there will be a gapEstherI bought these drawers (which also did not work at all with the pale oak besta frame, so I had to paint them) and when installing them (following instructions perfectly, differentiating the top and bottom drawer) there was a multi-inch gap between the drawers. I tried moving the metal runners down a notch --- that only resulted in the drawers not being able to close (at the setting with the smaller gap). I ended up having to move the runners one notch up and disregard instructions on installing the drawer front, and flip it upside down to reduce the gap. When I designed the besta system in the simulation, this gap did not appear. I guess I have no choice but to live with this, as I just don't have the energy to repaint another drawer front. Maybe if the small + large are not compatible you shouldn't have them line up perfectly in the simulator. I'm very disappointed about this, after putting in all this time and effort on my drawers.

The color is way lighter than pics on the website...OliverSince Ikea doesn't seem to stock the HEDEVIKEN in my region anymore, this the next best choice. However, the color in person is way lighter than the images online. The good news is that the oak veneer is actually real wood and not sealed, you can stain it, which is what I did.

Serves the Purpose...P...but the finish is strange. The color of the Bjorkoviken appears overwhelmingly brown, but when you get it into a room with wood furniture it becomes apparent just how GREY the tint is. The appearance here has more in common with Ivar, than with Besta.
