The Wheels/Castors Are Horrible. HugoAt $500 you’d think the wheels/castors would be the last thing to be an issue. But no. They only roll when I’m seating in the chair. And even then its not a smooth experience. I’m now spending $80 to replace them. If I had not already thrown away the box, this would have been returned.
A poorly designed chair that costs a fortuneAlexander1. The armrests aren't secured. So every time I rest my arms on them, they can slide either inward or outward.
2. The backrest support doesn’t work. The mesh backrest stretches and sags, causing the support to warp after just one month of use.
3. After two months of use, the chair started wobbling and rocking.
4. After two months of use, it started creaking and leaning to the left.
This lousy chair was a huge hassle to bring home because it doesn’t disassemble and comes packed in a massive box that won’t fit in a sedan car. My dream: throw this chair away and get a 100% refund. DO NOT buy this chair.
Not like the one in the storeLauraThe chair is not as comfortable as the one I tried in the showroom. The low back support is actually hard and uncomfortable. I had to insert a towel between the support and the chair fabric. And for some reason the wheels do not roll easily.
well built but, caused me pain.MikeA nicely deesigned chair with one exception. The lumbar support does not move back and forth; only up and down. This caused me to have severe lower back pain and i returned the chair.
Love this chair!DanI spent 10 hours straight in this chair and I could have kept going. Wonderful chair. Very comfortable. Doesn’t fit all body types, fits most. I would recommend testing it in person.
Great Build, Poor Ergonomics for Desk WorkKirillThe build quality and materials are excellent. The chair is remarkably sturdy and heavy, giving a substantial, well-made feel—nothing wobbles or feels flimsy. However, its design did not suit my needs for desk work. The backrest is tilted too far back by default, making it impossible to sit upright at a true 90-degree angle for focused work. Leaning into the backrest puts the user in an uncomfortable, reclined position for computer use, leading to neck and lower back discomfort after a short period. I would strongly recommend the designers modify the model to allow for a standard 90-degree upright seating position.
Not as good as I first thought it wasAnonymousIm a short woman (5'3"). I find the head rest is too high for me in its lowest position, the lumbar support piece is too high in its lowest position, and the chair is too high in its lowest position for me. I can touch the floor with my toes only. The tilt feature is limited. When I try to lock it in a position I like and release the lever to lock it, it moves further before locking into a position I don't like. I don't like the wheels at all. But Im going to return it just for one reason - its the armrests! OMG, I've never had anything more annoying in a chair! Yea I like that they are adjustable in hight and you can slide the cushion forward and backward, but! the cushion also swivels! But!!! doesn't lock in place! So it always swivels with any light touch which drives me crazy. I would still keep it if armrests could lock and not swivel, but that's a little too much. Im cringing every time I use it. Not worth $500 for sure. Designers failed on this one. Looks beautiful though.
IKEA finally has a winnerGeorgeThis is the one folks. This chair is competitive with all the brand-name offerings over $1k, having tried all of them. The chair does feel firm, so I would suggest IKEA add a version with padded foam.
Countdown startedSzeBought this chair without seeing a review and could not test a floor model. Will test it for the next month or so and see if it's a keeper.

The mesh is strong and comfortable - this is subjective of course - I like both the firmness of both the seat and the back.
Most of the frame is metal so I expect this to last.
Fit: I'm 5'9", and my friend who's 6'1" have the same length torso, and the headrest at the highest work. If possible try out a floor model.
Likewise the seat pan fits me well, but I'd like a longer seat-pan since I like to sit cross legged sometimes. I can manage it but it's be easier if I had additional inch or 2
The recline is great, and you can lock it into 3 positions. Tension is okay and you can't adjust. The locked angles are comfortable but the mechanism isn't smooth
By far the best armrests from any Ikea chair, lots of movement & is soft
The wheels suck, I have carpet and will need to but a floor mat.

Tactile High Quality ArmandoRisked getting this chair with no reviews, but the thumbnails were enough to get me intrigued. Picked it up, assembled it, and I love the chair. I love the ergonomics, breathability, and tactile feel the arm rests have when you adjust. Good lumbar and headrest support.
