no "wood" despite descriptionDyanThe description below the picture states: "The traditional design with a wooden tabletop and legs ..." but when the "materials" tab is opened, the details state "PARTICLEBOARD" top, side rails, legs. So where is the "WOOD" in the description. Very deceptive. Shame on IKEA!
Perfect fitJulieThis table ticked all my boxes. It was inexpensive, but looks as nice as some of the more expensive ones out there. The size is perfect for the space. It’s very sturdy. The colour combination goes perfectly into my environment.
Tightening the top screwsSeunghoI had no idea how far it would go to screw the top in when the table was upside down, and it seemed to go in strangely when I turned it. When I picked it up again, the top was broken by the screws. If it breaks like this even if I followed the instructions, isn't there a problem? I've assembled many IKEA products, and this is the first time this has happened. Everyone, be careful!
Poor instructions and particle boardDavidThe end skirts appear to be interchangeable but they aren't. Poor instructions give you a 50/50 shot at this step. If you are unlucky you will need to re-do half of the assembly and the particle board will probably crumble in the process. God speed.
Note to ikea: Just counter-sink both sides and the end skirts will actually be interchangeable.
Can NOT assembleAaSome parts had excessive tolerances, making assembly impossible. Trying to return this product.
