Open Space @ Top of DoorsJulieW the Besta TV unit I purchased two doors to place at bottom and below two open shelves. The issue I have is there is approx a 1" space at top of each door, because the shelf above does not extend past the frame. If standing in front of the unit, the opening is visible. Dust also accrues when doors should prevent such.....
As a result, I will have to work it out myself, as I do not see any type of solution here.
Look great but seem heavyJayssaReally wanted to keep these glass doors but they added more weight than we thought to our mounted Besta tv unit, causing a gap between our unit and wall when adding these doors. We also haven't been able to get these doors aligned - not sure if it's due to the weight but the instructions didn't seem helpful either. Unfortunately, we took too long to put this together and are now outside the return window so not sure what we'll do with these now.
Great for collection displaysJasonIt's great for collection display doors. I do wish however the black around the edges was a bit thinner to show a little more of what's in the cabinets.

Nice enough, but not idealJessicaI got this door because the SINDVIK was out of stock. I didn't realize this door is made of metal (my mistake for not reading the materials list), which doesn't pair as well with the BESTA cabinet - the difference in material makes it feel like the cabinet and doors don't belong together. I bought two doors, but one was missing the handle so I'll have to buy another set, which isn't ideal. Some people may prefer to not use the handles anyway - they can't be secured tightly to the doors so they rattle when you move the door and feel cheap. As a note, the description says "clear glass front" but the glass has a green tint. This isn't a surprise since you can see the tint in the listing photos. All that said, the actual doors are sturdy and good quality, they look nice on their own and from across the room, and they were shipped securely so they were in perfect condition when they arrived.

Shiny and presentable doorTeresaThese doors are superbly shiny, presentable and discreet. The coverage is perfect. These doors gave the cabinets I purchased such a sophisticated look. They are smoked out just enough so you can’t see what’s in the cabinet and yet they aren’t jet black where you can’t see the glass is t as dark as the frame. The doors are also strong and come with small handles for finger touching so you don’t finger print the glass. Great product. Proud owner.

What is glass?
Glass is mainly made of sand, soda, and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
