Awesome Bed!CherylBought my bed in 2015. Yea it was intimidating after opening the boxes and all the pieces came out. Had a friend help me put it together. They’re were a couple pieces missing. Went to ikea and they promptly gave me the items.
Have to say I loved my bed!! The drawers offer so much storage!

Mixed feelings PaolaIs a beautiful bed but the fact that the assembly was so complicated from step 3 and on was very frustrating. Also the slats being sold separately is a huge inconvenience cus you assume everything comes in the set as you NEED them. 3
Love the look, hated the setup KimberlyI love the look of the Brimnes bed frame, but putting it together was intense. It took me almost 8 hours solo, and I 100% relied on a YouTube video—without it, it would've taken even longer. The instructions are just pictures, no words, which made things harder than they needed to be, especially with so many pieces. That said, now that it’s done, I’m really happy with it. The built-in drawers give me tons of extra storage, and it looks great in my space. I’m planning to buy the matching headboard next. I’d buy it again, but next time I’m hiring someone to assemble it!

5 Years Later!GloriaI purchased this set with the headboard and nightstands for my now adult son's room 5 years ago and it is still a great set and in good shape! I got Task rabbit to put it together and bought a bunkie board for added support.5
Love itZaidaI would have given 5 stars, but yes it was challenging to put together. I would suggest to have 8 corner braces ready. There are two bolts that don't meet as previous reviews says. my fix was 8 corner braces (4 for each side). They don't have to be large braces. It worked perfectly and much sturdier then the bolts. Also, have a mallet on hand and a drill if possible. The instructions are typical IKEA instructions, so no surpise there. I took my time to avoid having to back track. This comes in 3 boxes. instruction and screws are in box numbers 3. I ordered the bed in black/full size. The panels in box 3 are all grey. I panicked and called support. They advised me to take to IKEA to exchange. I found out the very hard way that box#3 are the drawer panels and yes they are grey. Just the front facing panel is black. Drawers are huge, which is great. Fits pillowtop plush mattress. Hope this helps. 4
Assembly is impossible SandraOn step 5 the attaching bolt does not reach to catch the other panel. So difficult, might return it if we don’t have a solution. 1

Screws stripped and base brokeRobertaWhile assembling this bed, 3-4 screws stripped and could not be removed. This prevents the drawers from even closing. Also, the center support cracked and broke. Would not recommend, wasted money, time and effort. I’ve never been disappointed with an IKEA purchase until now.1
